I agree that Roethlisberger is not representative of the Steelers franchise as a whole. But it's interesting that Roethlisberger is White and did not get sent a way for bad conduct, while Santonio Holmes, is Black, and got shipped off to the Jets for bad conduct. I feel that is a double standard

There are a lot of Steelers to like such as Aaron Smith, Troy Polamalu and Ryan Clark.

However, the Steelers do have a dark history of rampant steroid abuse, and many players have paid the ultimate price of this with premature deaths. I find it sad that the organization does not acknowledge this and say something about it. I guess they feel all those Super Bowls in the 70's were tainted but lots of players tooks steroids the Steelers were just more systematic about it.

Roethlisberger is a jerk but I'm sure the Packers have some jerks too.

Have the Packers ever lost a Super Bowl???
WOW! What a ridiculous post. Is Ben a model citizen, no, not by any means. He put himself into some bad situations. Don't forget, no charges were ever filed against him. I believe he did something wrong, but nothing was proven. Santonio Holmes failed two drug tests, that is why he was shipped out. They had actual proof that something illegal was done. It had nothing to do with the color of his skin. If you knew anything about the Steeler organization you would know that. Look up the "Rooney Rule" in football. Ben was kept because it is alot harder to replace a QB than it is to replace a WR.

Every NFL team in the 70's and 80's had a serious problem with steriods. It wasn't limited to only football. And it wasn't limited to the Steelers.
Do your homework the next time you try to run a team into the ground. And yes the Packers lost to Denver in John Elways 1st Super Bowl win!

I know what the Rooney Rule is. It's a great rule and Dan Rooney was on point with creating this.

I didn't mean to imply that he is racist. But I do believe there is a double standard and that it's interesting that one man is White and the other is Black.

I said in my post everyone used steroids. I just wish all these teams would acknowledge it because a lot of the players from this era, from all teams, including the Steelers, have died prematurely. I think it's disingenious to their memory's to not realize steriods may have had a strong roll in their deaths. The Steelers which has become one of the classiest organizations in the NFL could make a bold statement by saying they used steroids and it was wrong instead of trying to ignore it.

And now Clay Mathews is mad because Palamulo just scored Defensive Player of the Year. Fine, a Super Bowl ring is a better honor anyway. Rodgers is fantastic in domes, and this one will be a neutral site, with both teams having equal problems with noise (or non-noise, as it were). Look, no one in Wisconsin truly thought the Packers would make it this year, even after Week 17 when they squeaked into the playoffs. Just being there is great, but now that they're there, and playing great, it's their year. (Check it out, all three forms of there/their/they're in one sentence, and I wasn't even trying.)

Watch the Packer D make mincemeat of the Steelers O line. And watch Clay Mathews, with a vengeance, tear the place apart. And I'll say it again, watch some unheralded Packer player make a big impact. Oh this will be sweet. And hopefully I won't be eating my words in five days.

By the way, the Packers are 3-1 in Super Bowls. They would have had a few more in the 60's, but the Super Bowl hadn't been invented until Lombardi's last two seasons as a coach, during which he won the first two Super Bowls. And even the main Green Bay hospital is called ST. Vincent's. And "Lombardi" is the hottest ticket on Broadway, and HBO's documentary on him just happened to play this year. And the Packers greatest victory was the Ice bowl, beating Dallas (led by the recently deceased Don Meredith) in the frozen tundra of Lambeau field. Now the Pack will win another SB, this time in Dallas, which today is quite cold and suffering from snow like Wisconsin. While the Packers coach, Mike McCarthey, grew up a Steeler fan in Pennsylvania, but has now turned away from the dark side to coach the real "America's Team."

Can all this possibly be coincidence, or is something bigger happening here? What alignment of the cosmos is favoring the Steelers? And why are the Packers still 2 1/2 point favorites in Vegas?

Again, Pack 21, Steelers 10.

Yes
The Rooney Rule is VERY interesting seeing that The ROONEYS themselves did not initially follow their own rule when they hired Russ Grimm, errrr Mike Tomlin. Not a ton of people know about that...

The Green Bay Packers have won a record 12 NFL Championships, number 13 will be won in a hard fought battle against the Steelers this Sunday! WDW better get out the Green and Gold decor because the Packers will be rolling down Main Street.

yeah. every year they do a simulation through the video game to see who will win the Superbowl. Apparently it's correctly predicted the winner in 6 of the last 7 Superbowls or something like that.

Sports Illustrated also predicted this match up months ago and predict the Steelers to win it all.

Who's the trophy named after again? Didn't he have something to do with the Packers? I think I may recall something.

Nevertheless, Sunday is sure going to be a fun day!
