Yay!

Ooo, sounds good to me!:slurp::slurp:

Hey Betty!

Looove the book - I like how the points can be used for more than just WDW - the cruise line looks more reasonable that way.
DH and I are agreed, however, it really depends on his legacy from his grandpa....and we have no idea when that will be settled.
Thanks for the heads up about MJ - we'll keep that in mind. I'm curious if you guys looked into buying DVC through resale vs Disney?

Question- is it possible to get the info book if you aren't planning on going into DVC? I just want to see what it's all about.

The current promo is contributing a % toward the down payment, plus a free trip if done by 10/13. Offer expires mid-Jan though, and we won't know anything yet. I found it interesting when comparing AKV and BLT that the monthly payments (including annual fees) for the 10 year financing were about the same. Fees for AKV were a little higher.
I'd love to go abroad...but I'd have to go alone. There's that whole little business of DH not flying. :hammer:

You wouldn't have to go alone. I could go with you!

Aw, Jo, you're too cute :lol:
I don't know - I mean I just watched the video online, they asked a couple of questions, and someone called me a couple of days later. They said they would send me a packet of info, and then I got the DVC book and booklet about Bay Lake Tower. if nothing else I can daydream. :animwink:

So do you think it would be possible for me to get the info?

Certainly wouldn't hurt to try - I didn't feel pressured or anything to join right this second. I do see the benefits of it - it's just the overall cost that's daunting. Considering it's a 50 year investment that can be paid off in 10, I'm not outright dismissing the possibility of 'someday'. :shrug:

I'll come with you guys too! marc's not a big traveller... :shrug:

Anyways, the book can be mailed and you don't have to buy into it or anything. we got our first blue book two years ago when we were first starting to think abou tit. It put us on the mailing list, and now and again we'd get some mailer about buying in, but other than that it's very non-intrusive. they generally leave you alone. They don't need to bug you - it sells itself. :lol:

Well, I don't think I would need it (since I'm hopefully going to be working for it). But maybe someday, I would join up (if I ever stopped, God forbid).

That's why we bought into it now - we've now got 49 years to enjoy with Anastasia and our possible grandkids, and we can all go together.

Yeah, it doesn't make too much sense for a CM to have a DVC membership. :lol:

But you may want to rent points or something one day. Plus it's helpful to know if you ever need to help someone in your line of work :)
