Frontierland Expansion Rumor

A lot of rumblings have been going on the past couple of days. Rumors of a major Frontierland expansion have been said to be in the works, confirmed by multiple sources. I think this would be a great addition to the Magic Kingdom. It would definitely be something for males to counteract the FLE. Not to say that FLE is for girls but I think the majority of guys aren't giddy with join over making birthday cards with Aurora.

I think a great idea would to essentially match FLE's offerings, with Frontierland themes. An E-Ticket thrill ride or dark ride set in the wild west. An animatronic dinner show in a saloon, and then potentially a play area with M&G's ala Grizzly Trail. It would be smart to do this because that would really give MK some room to breathe again and allow Disney to focus on the other parks in the long term future.

I can't imagine they would be planning expansion here with the Fantasyland expansion already on its way.:)

FL could use 2 dark rides...

C-ticket 3-4 minute Pecos Bill darkride
C- or D- ticket flat boat/raft ride through Tumbleweed, around TSI, and the "backwaters" of FL/BTMM/Thunder Mesa area-

Both those would cost a little, but the amount of revenue from keeping people in the back end of the park for another hour or two would easily be recouped in the first two years, and even better than that, families would have a reason to go into that back "corner or doom" as I like to call it.

While it would be nice for a looping roller coaster in MK, the park is in serious need of attractions for families to do together, ala IASW and JC. People seem to like water-based attractions.

98% of MK is this already.

Wasnt everyone on here talking about how they wanted WDW to be diffrent from parks such as Six Flags and Universal but then they want a looping roller coaster added to the MK. If I want coasters Ill go to Six Flags.

We want WDW to be different from Six Flags in theming. We don't want them to build a steel looping coaster, give it a random name and leave its structure out in the open with no thematic treatment whatsoever.

Build a looping coaster like RnRC, only longer, and give it the same fantastic treatment in details and decorations, put it on MK and I will be happy.

Thrill rides are not inherently bad, just look at: Journey to the Center of the Earth, Everest, ToT, RnRC and others.

Wouldnt an Indiana Jones coaster in AL be a great idea?

Indiana Jones always comes up as a suggested theme for new attractions. Fact is, Indy is completely irrelevant to the current generation.

Do you think so?

I mean, the new movie may be pretty bad, but I am sure that just like the first SW episode that movie was able to create a whole new generation of Indy fans.

MK is in desperate need of a thrill ride.

Too many recent big ticket ("E") attractions have been thrill rides. While you might argue that the Magic Kingdom could support a fourth thrill ride (and I'm not sure I'd agree), WDW as a whole is in even more desperate need for attractions which appeal to everyone (omnimover/dark rides, etc.).

I'm 21 years old. My favorite music group is The Beatles, my favorite TV show is M*A*S*H, and my favorite movie is The Godfather. I'm HUGE for nostalgia but, for some reason, Indiana Jones seems to be one of the "classics" that just doesn't resonate with me and my peers. The same can be said about "Back to the Future."

You just don't like it
