Then it was time for our safari. We ended up waiting for quite a bit because of some animals blocking the road.

I didn't take too many pictures. One was because my battery was charging and two - I just wanted to enjoy the ride. Hippos are my favorite!!

okay - this may be such a stupid question, but Is this real?? It doesn't seem to ever change.

After the safari, we hopped on the train to go to Rafkiki’s Planet Watch – Conservation Station.

I had zero interest in going, but Julia wanted to visit there for one reason…

She loved it! I was happy that Hope took part in it as well. Art is NOT her thing. Sooooo different these sisters are!!

IMG_2511.JPG

We walked around a bit, did the class and then grabbed the train back – it was time for dinner.

Tiffins was fantastic!!

And it is a beautiful restaurant.

IMG_2526.JPG

We started with soup and charcuterie…

Ross, Julia and I all had the surf & turf, while Miss Hope had the mac & cheese.

I forget why - but we paid out of pocket for Hope's meal and as good as that bowl of mac and cheese may have been - she finished it all - it was $18! I don't know if that was an $18 bowl of cheese and noodles! lol

Dessert was Amazing!! I think we all split Hope's because she is not a dessert kid. Only "plain" vanilla for her!

Of course, at the end, we received our “prize”.

Now I have to admit, I had ZERO interest in seeing Rivers of Light. It was one show that just did not impress me. Hope however, wanted to see it, so that was why I booked the RoL dinning package.

I wanted a “tree” picture…

IMG_2543.JPG

Then we went off to see our bug friends.

We all wanted to do Flight of Passage again so we got a return time and wandered around Pandora for a bit. Julia and I really liked the night blossom drinks with the popping bubbles.

After our flight, we began to make our way over to RoL, when suddenly Ross realized he lost the tickets!!! I figured that was it – no way would they give us another set of tickets! I told him we could just get regular seats. But Ross needed to try. We walked back over to Tiffins and he explain the situation and believe it or not, they gave us new tickets!

The show was… pretty. That’s really all I can say about it. I wrote in my notes that I wouldn’t miss it if they did away with it. (Please take note of the dramatic irony.)

Julia wanted to ride Dinosaur, so we did and then headed back to POP.

We thought about going to Disney Springs for something to eat, but settled for the food court at POP. We all got something to snack on before we crashed for the night.

As a side note, I never realized how much Ross and I fought during our trips. Don’t get me wrong – they were never huge knock down fights, but we did manage to get on each other’s nerves and squabble quite a bit. It makes me a bit sad thinking about it…. These past few years… well, I guess we’ve changed a lot. Working together through the pandemic, family drama, the boyfriend…. I guess we’ve just changed…. I would say for the better… We have definitely slowed down. But looking back and writing about the times that we were fighting – and usually about stupid things makes me sad.

Today was an EPCOT day. We had a breakfast ADR at Chef Mickey’s – and Ross does not do early ADR’s easily, so at 8:00am, the girls and I left without him. But I did leave directions for him to get to Chef Mickey’s.

We took the bus to the MK and then hopped the Monorail to the Contemporary. Our bus driver was great – he did Disney trivia on the way to the MK.

Were stopped to take a few pictures in front of the MK.

We actually got to Chef Mickey’s on time – completely out of character for me! Lol

They also let us retake the picture at the beginning since Ross did not show up until after we were seated.

IMG_2769.JPG

After we filled our bellies, we made a restroom stop and I called my folks, and then we headed to the monorail to go to EPCOT.

As we rode around EPCOT, we studied all the construction.

Hope was so excited for the new ride! Julia mourned the loss of the Energy Pavilion, but I think she was excited for a new experience. We hoped it would be done in time for our trip in 2020.

As soon as we entered the park, we rode Spaceship Earth.

Hope was having issues with the omni-movers – and as our trip progressed, her issues got worse. I had her iPod attached to a lanyard and she would wear it on the ride. If the ride stopped, she would focus on her iPod until the ride started moving again. She handled it better riding with me – with Ross she had a more difficult time. Mostly because I think he was worried the ride would stop and he showed her his fear. But it was what it was. I didn’t want her to not do the omni rides. I wanted her to work through it.

This trip though time she did fine.

We took some time to played the games at the end.

We made our way to China to see Mulan. On the way, Julia picked up some Bubble Tea and some chicken dumplings, which were very yummy.

We got on line to see Mulan. As we were waiting, a family tried to cut into the entire line! They made the mistake of going in front of us, so Ross informed them where the end of the line was.
