I was actually hoping a gal would take me up on the offer (dream on, Jeff), however, I'm sure Allyn and I will have a great time...without the sexual tension. You never know, there are other cruises that I know my daughter can't go on (the cheap ones during school) that I now have a 'buddy' to go with (he'd have to pay his half, though, in the future), including member (DVC) cruises that usually occur in September, non-Disney Cruises (like Star Trek cruises that I've always wanted to go on).
You never know, maybe we will bump into a pair of gals on the trip...I'll pack the Viagra, Cialis, and Lavitra:)

Too funny...so a 49 year old male and an even older male (me) were interested in the offer. You never know though, maybe you both will meet someone special on the trip. Have a safe and fun cruise...I have to admit, had I been in your shoes I would have probably never even thought of making the kind offer you did.

Most travel agents give an onboard credit as a "thank you" or so it seems from everything I've read. I know Kingdom Konsultants has been very kind to us. ;) Also, I've brought Parrot Bay rum, Firefly sweet tea vodka, and Crown Royal in standard fifth size glass bottles onboard. If you carry it onboard, you can have it. Things like bottles of wine and stuff if you bring that onboard and want it served with your dinner there's a corkage fee. Don't put bottles of liquor into your checked bags. That's a no-no because it's not just your luggage you risk if the bottles should be compromised. But, like I said, if you carry it onboard you can have at it. I've actually seen people carrying multiple cases of beer, too. LOL!

Hey sweetpee...it has been awhile. As a quick follow up, we did not take the 30 year anniversary cruise, spent a week at WDW at SSR with a great view of DTD. Celebrated 30 at HOB gospel brunch...it was fantastic, then that evening at Cali Grill watching fireworks..good times. Hope your handsome family is doing well.

Well I figured that the type of people on THIS Disney board would be 'safe', and I'd rather go with someone than alone (even if it has it's advantages, the lonely time might have distracted from the fun)...but most of all I hated seeing a cabin spot go to waste when I know someone else would enjoy the cruise immensely. And with Allyn helping with the his share of the tips, and the parking (I HATE paying for parking), and tolls (I HATE paying tolls), and the small amount of gas there and back from Orlando, MY trip will be much more enjoyable as well. Ironically on my last cruise 7/2011, I had just paid the last toll on the way to Port Canaveral when I realized that I'd left my passport on my desk at work (needed it to file for retirement in May...normally it is ALWAYS in my car)...so I had to pay ALL the tolls (I HATE paying tolls) TWICE...and since I was hurrying home, I had to incur an additional toll back to I-4 that I normally bypass travelling to and from the Magic Castle.

I lost Bo about 10 years ago, since then I've been plagued with cats...cats who don't always use the litter box...I think it was a bad anti-catbox gene...

Total tips for 2, if I remember correctly, come to about $120 (as recommended on the tip sheet), so $60+
(+ for excellent service we might want to tip more)
Parking will be $90, so $45
Tolls will be about $10, so $5
Gas for about 120 miles at 25m/gal would be about 5 gallons *$3.33/gal=$16/2=$8.00
Total=$118
and perhaps a tip for the guy picking up our luggage when we arrive at the terminal?

You might want to bring some cash for if/when you go off the ship at Nassau...
I will probably bring about $200 cash for the cruise and WDW afterwards

Has ANYONE been hassled (sent away) for arriving at the Port Terminal before their arranged time?

Has ANYONE been hassled (sent away) for arriving at the Port Terminal before their arranged time?

No. If you're obscenely early before the port opens to embarking passengers there's a possibility they'll turn you around where you drive into the gated area. We've arrived at 10:30-ish for a 11-11:30 port arrival time and been just fine. Generally 10:30-10:45 is considered "early". Technically the port isn't supposed to open until 11. Back when they first started with the port arrival times they would keep people standing outside the gates where you drop your stuff with the porters curbside. I've not seen that personally but I've seen pics. You can get there early. The only time they'd turn you away is if you arrived crazy early or if the terminal is close to reaching capacity and your arrival time isn't what the current time is. I've never heard of that happening, tho.

small snack bar, TVs, couches, a giant Disney ship with cutouts to see inside.

I've been there that early (about 9am) where the told me to come back in an hour, I returned in :45 min to find that they had already let in several people...so I'm figuring on the late side of 9:30am

i was gonna ask if he was a pilot lol

Technically, no. He completed most of his private pilot training when he was 18-19 or so. Solo'd several times and everything. He stopped flying for lack of money. Then he married me when he was 21 and money REALLY was preventative. For all these years he appeased himself with flight simulators. Even with the super-computer(s), flight yokes, throttle assemblies, pedals, etc. it's still less than what it would cost to get licensed. He has been looking at it more again. I'm thinking if his high blood pressure can be managed it'll be 2-3 years and he'll be licensed. It's important that he does it. Gotta support our other bestest friends, right??? :p
