CM on the phone stated that it was nothing that I could have done, nothing I missed, simply that it probably wasn't being offered at my resort during my stay (8/19-8/28). Never saw it offered on resort TV, but could easily have missed that.

I just returned home from a two week stay at POR. The flyer for the bounceback offer was sitting on our table when we arrived.

I realize you have to be currently staying at WDW to be eligible to book the bounce back offer, but if a flyer is not in your room, could you dial ext 8844 or call 407 541 5515 and ask to book a pkg using code DJX for next Aug 23 - Oct 1? Wouldn't it be a matter of availability at the resort you wish to book for 2009?

now the prices listed in the flyer that is including the regular dining plan not the quick service one, room and park tickets?
And after you put the 200.00 down, how long before your trip do you have until you make your final payment?
45 days. The $200 is refundable until then. You can make changes to the reservation - dates, location, etc. - later on, depending on availability.

Final payment is due 45 days before the 1st day of your trip and the $200 is fully refundable until this point. So for a Sept 2009 trip, your final payment would be due around July - Aug 2009.

The dates for the 2009 free dining are a week to ten days longer than 2008. Interesting....
Yes, last year's bounceback did not include any dates for this August. It began Sept. 1 or 2 I think. That's why we didn't take it. My daughter would have missed a week of school. I took a chance that the promo offered in April would include August dates, and sure enough it did (August 24 onward). The guests who took last year's bounceback are starting to arrive only now, more than a week after the guests who took the April-June offer.

This year's bounceback (for 2009 free DDP) starts next August 23. Much better for our family.

I also had the dining bounceback in my room but I alos had another flier for 30% off if booking just a hotel room only. We snoozed so I guess we loosed...we wanted to book it but actually forgot.

Is this a stupid question?

OK I am going solo on the 20th of September and hoping that the flier is in my room. Now I will take advantage however can I book different then what I am staying? In other words I would like to book next for my son and parents at a deluxe hotel but I am staying by myself at a value. Is it possible to book it?

Before our free dining last Sept.2007 I read about the bounce back offer.
I took the phone # with me and even though I did not have a flyer in my room I was able to book the bounce back.

I am taking the number with me next week and will book a bounce back free dining trip again for next year.

Sometimes mousekeeping forgets to restock the fliers.( Or they might run out of them.)

The flyer looks like it states that you can ask about other deals for Oct. 2 thru 7! Has anyone heard any of the details on this? :veryconfu

Plus - the 2009 DDP dates (8/23/09 - 10/1/09) extend longer than the 2008 dates (8/24/08-9/20/08):

I'm glad you were able to book free dining in 2008. My family can't travel in Sept (husband teaches college - son in college), so if I go again, it will be with a friend (went Sept 2007).

Question

74/person/night at Moderates - based on a family of 4 in a Standard room [total package price $1763, savings of $654]
95/person/night at Deluxe - based on a family of 4 in a Standard room at AKL [total package price $2276, savings of $654]

You need reading glasses...

What about a family of five? Do they still offer it for the 5th person in the room at a Mod?

From what I understand it is still a Free Dining bounce back but since the regular season rates (vs. value rates) start on the 2ed of Oct. the nightly fee will be increased to the regular rack rate per night instead of the value rack rate per night.

We booked this year's free dining trip while we were there last year. We arrive Sept 6th - 14th. We didn't have a flyer in the room, but we found them in the guest services area. My travel agent called and said they were giving out the bounceback offer. We could only book one room. I wanted to book a couple of rooms and have family join us. We could not. We could only book the one room and we had to do it before we checked out of the resort. And pay a 200 deposit. Which is fine. I am so glad to hear they are offering it again. I will definately book it.
My brother in law and his family are joining us for the free dining. Although I could only book a room for my family last year while at WDW. My travel agent kept me posted when the offer was being made public. She said if it were to be open to public, it would be open around April. And sure enough it was and my husband's sister got a room at our resort with the free dining. So if you want others to join you, wait and it will come out in the spring. They will tell you that they are no guarantees that it will be offered to everyone in the spring, but they have for what? 5 years now?
