How bizarre. Maybe adding some sort of anchors for shading overhead? :veryconfu

Or maybe, the demolition or disassembly/relocation of the stage?

Or maybe a retheme of the stage where it is? :lookaroun

The sheriff loves tarps and construction walls, that is definite.

Painting?:lookaroun

Maybe HE'S back and is going to disappear it?

Does anyone else find it funny that both this TL "refurb" and the DCA refurb have excessive amounts of walls, enough to call each respective area "Wallland" But we're getting NO refurb, while DCA is getting a massive, multi-million dollar one?

... I guess DLR got the better version in THIS clone too!

^ Not really.

But we are getting an upgraded SM long overdue for about 30 years (though I like SM already the way it was before), a Skyway station that, while retains so many memories, really needs to be demolished for a better purpose, especially the hardly used second story & perhaps the "renewal" of something new and certainly not Stitch-related into the SC Stage as it goes under the knife for a second chance at TL.

Someday you will be saying, "oh now I understand what they were doing". The only question is will it take a few weeks to see the purpose or a couple years. But it is quite apparent there is a plan and it's moving forward...........slowly.

I think covering the Stitch stage already improves it.:ROFLOL: In reality, I hope they have a plan for a fun show without stitch or any character for that matter, just something unique and new for TL.

I really would like to see proof of that admission, jt.
The more tarps, the better!

Indeed! And the more poking around I get to do in Tomorrowland! Should make for a fun TR.

I'm no expert or insider, but I would tend to agree that something bigger is going on here. I'm starting to wonder if the Stitch Sucktacular wasn't a temporary smoke screen to utilize the theater during the summer months before the real purpose was exposed, and to squelch speculation. I just can't believe that TDO would give up that easily on a production without trying to "tweak" it enough to salvage the investment in both the production and the theater.

It seems odd that suddenly there are more walls than originally expected, the skyway building is coming down after sitting all these years, and both SM and TTA are getting moderate, if not extensive, refurbs. There are even rumors of COP getting some love. I just think that something bigger than what we're expecting is coming in TL.

Perhaps some posters are right in their speculation that TDO is scared of Harry Potter, and they're rushing through some big changes?

I think they are just as, if not more scared, of empty resort rooms however I do think the FL renovation is Disney's response for now rather than MI.

If you combine the new Liberty Square, with the potential FL renovation/additions to what is happening in Tomorrowland, and I think it all adds up to something much bigger and what quite clearly seems to be a comprehensive plan for the 40th. Jungle Cruise is also rumored to be getting an extensive refurb after the SM/TTA refurbs.

Can't wait for D23 Expo.

It was due for one before then too... until the HM and PotC got involved. As mentioned, the dock couldn`t wait. It will need a fairly big one sooner rather than later, though guests may not see much different if it`s bare bones. And fans will be asking where all the money went.

Please don't tell me you've already heard about cuts.:(

I trust top Disney Cast Members to realize they need a lot will trump Harry Potter. What the MK has in store for the near future (as posted and rumored here) doesn't seem like a response to Harry Potter unless they're shooting for another demographic (most likely). But Disney has always tryed to top competitors directly in the past, so I doubt we've heard their response to HP yet.

It'd be stupid to rush through things, and Disney has a good track record of making sure the final project is up to par before opening it up.
