I dont know...

It sounded to me like it was the guy asking the question in the first place who said the "internet" thing. Not Bob.

The rumor has been around for a quite some time now...
B.T.W. Michael always climbs mountains (He always dreams about it though). and don't forget he was joking at that time...
He NEVER let's the cat out of the bag, never has and never will...
And Bob wasn't basically comfirming anything... he was turning his face from Michael, so....
That speech has been taken a bit out of context...

As I said before.... NOTHING has been "green lighted" at Disney's Animal Kingdom...

And what exactly makes you a more trustworthy source than Eisner himself?

If you would like, go to

http://www.videonewswire.com/event.asp?id=12939

and listen to the recording of the stockholders meeting. Michael answers this question at a time around 1:47:24 on the recording. It is very clear to me that the person who posted this info on the other site hadn't taken what Michael said out of context. Also, listening to the whole answer and question period, I don't know why you think he was "joking" at that time. In my opinion, he seemed very truthful and honest.

(The only thing wrong with the quote from the site, as already mentioned, was the person who said "you made hundreds of people on the internet happier than they've ever been" was the person asking the question, NOT Bob Iger.)

Not to "put you on the spot", but I asked awhile ago on another thread why those who said nothing had been greenlighted believed this way. At this point (after listening to the recording myself), I am led to believe it is because you haven't heard anything yourself and thus are assuming it isn't happening. Is this right or do you have info that Mr. Eisner doesn't even have?

CORRUS, I don't want to point any fingers (in other words I am not "attacking" you or what you've said), but it might be in your interest to say why you believe so adamantly that this isn't going to be built, in order to save your credibility as a source :)

I am EXTEREMELY exicted about this news. It helps to cheer up my day with all of the other events occuring right now.

ummm... there is a link to the audio clip that you can listen to. NOTHING was taken out of context and was reported exactly as Eisner said it. So obviously it has been "green lighted" and you couldn't be any more wrong.

I agree with you 100%. However, whoever speaks directly AFTER the internet thing (I am not sure if it is Michael Eisner or Bob Iger, I think it is Michael) suddenly realizes that they haven't made the announcment yet and jokingly tells the person asking the question to "not tell them" (that would be all of us on these boards and other Disney fans) "yet, I don't think we've made the announcement".

BTW, Intercot has a decent-sized picture of the study model:

Jesus this ride has one wicked helix!

Thanks for the link! By the way, go to this page's home page :

www.intercot.com

They have an artist's interpretation of what the AK's new mountain range might like look in its proposed spot. It looks like they took the model and simply put it into a photo of the area, but I think it gives you an idea, at least!

From what others have said (mostly LEE) I don't think the whole mountain is going to be white like in that photo. Probably "stone-colored" and forested on the bottom to snow peaks, like LEE said awhile back (Lee, feel free to add any other items you might know ;) )

I just tried the link I posted and it worked for me. I've already got the 404error when trying to access the page in the past and simply clicked reload and it opened. I hope that works.

UPDATE: I just tried a couple more times and it doesn't work for me now either. My guess is try later tonight?? Sorry.

I've been having problems with Intercot for a while. Just another reason why this site is better if you ask me.

P.S. I just found out that this latest episode is from where their server crashed when this photo started making the rounds. I guess they can blame me for that. ;)

1st.
I don't feel "attacked" (I know what you mean btw):D

2nd.
I've listened to it, and you're right...

I was flabbergasted hearing him disclose the mountain ride..

I hadn't listen or read the report yet.. since my wife and I are visiting some friends in europe at this moment.

I heard him saying and I still couldn't believe my ears
Well .... he's the boss, but nevertheless...

He already said it "I’m always in difficult territory here"

And he WAS! We had to keep our mouth shut and to deny everything for such a long time... and he spoils it all... Thanks Mike. (It seems there's no NDA for him all of the sudden)

But now, after all is said and done...Let the mountain come to the people...

And as for the rest of you guys.... Sorry for the inconvenience...

Ok, the time has come to start putting some stuff out.
Since Intercot put a model photo up, so will I.

This is the unpainted model, same one as Intercot, but from a different angle.
The completed model will not be white, but sort of lush at the bottom, snowy at the top.

Enjoy.

Is this ride going to be like a Bobsled ride like the matterhorn in DL? Is it going to be an EMV? I'd kinda like to hear more info. on this.:) Very interesting.

Mine Train, from what I hear.
200 ft. from base to highest peak.
High speed helixes (or however you spell it) remeniscent of Beast at PKI.
Yetis.
Possible snowstorm in the Mountain.

But, I guess we'll know for sure in a month.
