and seriously I have never gotten on a cold bus that everyone getting onboard didnt say Ahhh thank God! I am SURE there are some that find it too cold, but for the majority sweltering in the Florida heat, it is a pleasure to get aboard a cool bus for a few minutes and not have to smell stinky sweaty people all around me.,
It was too cold for anyone to have been comfortable in even the slightest way possible.
Old ladies, I'm telling you.
Anyway, I'd rather have a cold bus than a hot one. Here in my area, last summer, I took the bus to work and the HEAT WAS ON. Middle of summer, already hot out, and it's sweltering in that bus. Miserable experience.
Wow. I don't know if I could have dealt with something like that. Sounds like it would have taken your breathe away being that hot.
Well, I can deal with hot. I don't like it, but I manage. Now, of the two, I'd prefer cold to hot, because with cold you can at least trick yourself that you can warm up. Move around, rub yourself, etc. With hot, there's little you can do without help.
Is there something in the title that's making folk sweat and prompting all the discussions about AC? Flame Tree?
Oh, you can do something about it. It just might land you in jail for a lewd and lascivious conduct charge.

Agree, I do believe the bus is too cold when even the driver has to wear a full artic style jacket . (which I did quite a few times in super cold buses in January).A "cool/cold" bus is one thing. However, that is not to what I was referring. I too would prefer to have a nice cool/cold ride back to the room after a long hot day at the parks. There is a line between cool/cold and absolutely "take your breath away" and arctic cold. I understand that many people either don't understand what I mean or choose to assume I am over-exaggerating the cold on that bus that day. I am absolutely not embellishing at all. It was too cold for anyone to have been comfortable in even the slightest way possible. I agree that most transportation drivers at Disney are top notch. I am not saying that FireChiefGoofy is not friendly and a good person. I do not know him. I am sure he is a great person. However, the bus driver in question did know people were freezing to death in the back and chose to ignore the requests to dial it down. If there is only an on/off switch then a simple "This is all we have, hot or cold." would have worked. I personally feel that the bus needed to be serviced if it was that cold and the only option would have been to turn it off. I was not the only person to feel frosted over on that long trip back to the parking lot. Every single person complained to him on the way off the bus that night about the cold. He should have contacted someone to swap out buses until that one could be serviced.

Anyway, does the new area has views towards ROL? or its blocked by trees?
I forgot to ask on the AC units. You can see from the seating area. But you will be on the backside of the show.
I wear a jacket in the winter. Remember, to us Floridians, anything below 65° is freezing.
I would think, that much like in a car in the florida sun, as soon as you turn the unit off, it warms up VERY fast...with the doors opening for stops, and they are not insulated like a house. I think it would be constant on and off to try and regulate it...I forgot to ask on the AC units.
Do the bus lets you turn off and on constantly to regulate the temps? or its discouraged to prevent damage to the units?
I mean, while it might be a lot of work for the bus driver, it might help when it gets too freezing. (aka turn off for 10 minutes, turn on again later and then shut it down 1 hour later)
yes, but will at least help a bit during these days when its cold outside as well (like in January to late february)I would think, that much like in a car in the florida sun, as soon as you turn the unit off, it warms up VERY fast...with the doors opening for stops, and they are not insulated like a house.
