Do you think they'll add a Figment ride in Disneyland/California Adventure? If they're promoting Figment outside the US, i'm almost certain that Figment will come to the West Coast one day.

I mean, they might've planned to with WESTCOT but that was cancelled. It would've happened by now I feel.
Theoretically, they could still bring him to DCA, considering he ‘does’ have a cameo appearance in the queue to Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout!. But hey, ya never know.I mean, they might've planned to with WESTCOT but that was cancelled.
They may have not wanted to bring him over to LA but now that a movie might be in the works and they're releasing Figment merch overseas, it's hard not to think of it as them wanting to give Figment a wider audience.
Funny thing about that, there's actually a huge Figment fan on YouTube that... has never been to Disney World, because he's in California and WDW is in Florida (he explained that traveling is "too expensive", he grew to love Figment after watching videos and seeing fanart and all kinds of stuff). It's really impressive if even someone who's never been in person loves your character, it kind of reminds me of people like, well, me, who've never ridden the 1983 ride.Theoretically, they could still bring him to DCA, considering he ‘does’ have a cameo appearance in the queue to Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout!. Heck, if Disney wanted to expand and built a park in California (not even neccesarily in Anaheim, but elsewhere in California). They could always build a WestCOT, there, that way. But yeah.
Granted, it’s funny, the last time I was at Disneyland (thanks to a cousin of mine’s invitation, she was paying for my ticket. lol) which was a couple weeks ago, I found 2 Figment pins there at the pin shop on Main St., themed to the original ride. The Artist (from the Realm of Art) and Stage Performer (from the Realm of Performing Arts/Theatre), I of course bought them, since I didn’t own them prior, they were themed to the original 83-98 ride (my favorite) and figured they were worthy souvineers after returning after a good while (a couple years back), so yeahView attachment 841944
I know & have spoken to the guy you’re talking about aswell, sweet guy, but yeah, me three when it comes to that, as someone else who’s located in Cali that became a huge fan & collector similarly, my coming across videos of the original 83-98 attraction and my love growing there. As I’ve stated before, our demographic is actually much larger than I think some folks tend to give credit to. We are a BIG reason Figment, Dreamfinder, and Journey Into Imagination still get lots of love & attention.Funny thing about that, there's actually a huge Figment fan on YouTube that... has never been to Disney World, because he's in California and WDW is in Florida (he explained that traveling is "too expensive", he grew to love Figment after watching videos and seeing fanart and all kinds of stuff). To this day, I have never been to Disneyland/California Adventure; i'm on the opposite side of the country (Georgia). While Disney World is also quite far from where I live (7 hour drive), the road trip isn't long enough that we would ever wanted to fly. I only flew once in my April 2024 visit; however I was terrified during takeoff and decided "yeah, that's the last time i'm flying!"I know & have spoken to the guy you’re talking about aswell, sweet guy, but yeah, me three when it comes to that, as someone else who’s located in Cali that became a huge fan & collector similarly, my coming across videos of the original 83-98 attraction and my love growing there. Figment didn't really exist in 1976. EPCOT didn't open until 1982 and JII didn't until March 3, 1983 (or March 5, not sure which)How popular is Figment? Well when I first went in 1976, bought my fiancee a Figment doll. In the early 80's, my now wife bought a Figment doll for our daughter. In 2010, I bought my grand daughter a Figment doll. Three generations and still going strong.
Figment is really more of a Gen X/first-half Millennial thing really. At least the original ride; I do love the original, but I obviously never rode it as it closed four years before I was born.FWIW I'm in my 40's and still have my Figment doll from the 80's.
March 3rd was possibly an early cast preview opening date, but it officially opened to the public on the 5th.Figment didn't really exist in 1976. EPCOT didn't open until 1982 and JII didn't until March 3, 1983 (or March 5, not sure which)
We're on year four of them releasing Figment popcorn buckets, and even though this year's is kinda boring imo it's still popular enough to warrant a virtual queue with long waits even after you're called to pickup. Figment has been on pretty much all of the festival merchandise for at least five years now. I don't know that the ride is particularly popular, but the character sure is.How popular is Figment? And you'd think they would have utilized using the Kitchen Kabaret or Food Rocks characters during the Food And Wine Festival..And the only time they did was in 2003 for a small carnival section for families. We're on year four of them releasing Figment popcorn buckets, and even though this year's is kinda boring imo it's still popular enough to warrant a virtual queue with long waits even after you're called to pickup. I think it's Disney who kept pressuring them to do that; Kodak were forced to despite not being in the right financial situation to fund the refurb.Kodak tried to assassinate him, Disney was just the one carrying out the mission after they were paid to.
Whoever it was, they failed miserably. He rose again.I think it's Disney who kept pressuring them to do that; Kodak were forced to despite not being in the right financial situation to fund the refurb.
