Fighting At Disney World

Hey Fellas,

I was just wondering if u had ever seen a big or small altercation in any of the parks, physical or verbal would count. Lets hear some stories :king:

I remember back in 2003 when i was walking around MGM a brawl broke out by the BLT. It started when a guy pushed another guy walking past man, and the man he pushed turned around and punched him in the face. The man's family jumped in and for 10 minutes there was an all out war. There were haymakers being thrown, choking, kicks, the teenage son giving his best Jack Dempsey impression. Just when you thought it was all said and done it was reignited for 6 more minutes of Platoon esque fighting, at one time it looked like there were 24 people involved and their a lot of folks walking away bloodied and battered which looked like the brawl scene from the warriors with the Baseball Furies.

I've seen a few altercations over the years. Mainly verbal ones. Many of which were husband/wife disputes. I don't think I've ever seen anyone throw a punch though. Three years ago a guy in the UK pavilion began cursing me out in front of the Rose and Crown because his kid ran in front of me as I was walking and I couldn't get out of the way in time. The kid was fine and basically just bounced off my leg. She couldn't have cared less and just kept on running in circles. The guy just flipped on me and started accusing me of knocking his kid down on purpose. (She never even lost her balance, much less fell down. :hammer:) The guy clearly should have been flagged 8 drinks ago, but for some reason was still standing around outside holding a beer. Unfortunately I did start yelling back at him rather than walk away, but the Disney police crawled out of the woodwork and carted him off. Vacation sure does bring out the best in some people. :lookaroun

Then when all the dust cleared , the fight continued for a 3rd time this time around the Indiana Jones Stunt Show area which got the police livid. It was one of the most dangerous and brutal fights i have ever seen and Ive been in my share in the past years. In the 3rd round of fisticuffs i blatantly remember the father of one of the sons landing a clean elbow on another father opening up a nice cut that required 10 stitches. The other 15 combatants then began to throw heavy blows at one another leading to busted lips and bloody shirts.

Yes, I punched a guy in the face who refused to use the default font.

Not an actual plysical fight, but a good number of verbal recriminations.

I especially am fond of the one time in Crystal Palace, where this couple just exchanged insults back and forth pretty much the moment they stepped foot inside. It went to the point where they were kicked out not even 5 minutes inside. Supposedly, the cause was something about forgetting to being something unimportant. Think sunscreen. In a cloudy, cool day.

Some people.

I think this case is precisely why I hesitate to go to WDW with a significant other. I can totally see myself turning into the crazy lady screaming at her boyfriend about sunscreen in December given the right situation. :lookaroun

January 2009 trip. Hubby was in a long, slow-moving line to get something to eat at the walk-up in Germany. Some big muscle-monkey lookin' guy waltzed up & cut in line. Hubby let the guy know the end of the line was in the opposite direction. Nice conversation ensued:

Muscle-Monkey turns to the hubby, "Well, I'm from New York & I'll kick your *expletive*."

Hubby: "Well apparently they either don't have lines in New York or you're just too *expletive* stupid to understand the way this works. The end of the line is back there." ((Points to the end of the line))

After hubby makes a big deal several other people spoke up. Muscle- Monkey makes his way to the end of the line. 10 minutes or so later the hubby gets his food happens to walk past Mr. Muscle-Monkey who's still in the line and of course hubby had a nice, big grin on his face. MM boy didn't like this and said something to the effect of, "That's alright. I'm gonna find you in a little while & we'll settle it." Hubby made sure to point out which direction he was headed & invited MM to come join us when he felt ready.

I cursed out 3 young adults during the same trip for shoving my sons out of their way so they could be first in line for TSMM. They were walking thru the queue area cheering & yelling "We're first! We're first!"

Other than that, I don't recall ever seeing anyone else fight or argue. Well, besides my boys doing their usual fighting. And of course there's the parents fussing at their own kiddos.

During Illuminations during the F&W festival, there were two obviously very drunk women (who could barely walk) that got into a huge physical fight. One woman lunged at the other, almost taking my sister down with her, and pushed the other woman to the ground. She then proceeded to bash this woman's head repeatedly onto the pavement. It scared the living *bleep* out of my little brother.

I have been forced to straighten a few people out verbally, but due to me being 6'7 and a huge mess of man, most people, wisely, back down and obey.

I did see two women go at it at Universal by the Men in Black ride for about 3 minutes before security showed up. And yes, we had exposed bra's, hair pulling and one smashing elbow to the mouth that made me cringe.

Jimmy Thick- Nothin' as sexy as a catfight!
