Feedback on new style

Just noticed one thing I don't really like. The date/time of a post seems really, really tiny and obscured. I don't know that I like it at the bottom of the post because right now, it's the very last thing under the signature even. Seems like it would be better up top somewhere. Over on the right next to the post number maybe? Or something. It's just kinda hard to see when something was written in the new format.

The style change never sticks for me. I change it to liquid dimmed and it stays that way until I log out. When I log back in, it reverts to the default style.

Post which browser you are using so Steve can see it tomorrow. I have not experienced that and have used two different browsers.

More feedback:
- Users without avatars should show nothing instead of a big question mark.

Personally, I like that it shows a generic image for two reasons.

First, it's more incentive to take a moment and post an appropriate image, which shows you are here for real discussion as opposed to spamming, especially in the case of brand new members.

Second, it allows the pertinent information (user name, details, etc) to all fall in line along the left side of the forums in one easy pattern, without missing spots, different sized avatars, etc.

If you are getting the big voids on the left and right margin (like I was), go down to the blue (bottom) status line (on the left) and you can use the 'style changer' to better fit your screen.

What operating system and web browser are you using? That sounds like it is a cookie not being stored. Do you have any security software, or blockers installed?

You add in photos from anywhere that lets you directly link to images.

I love the new look. Change in anything takes time to get used to. I think it's a more modern look. Don't care for the bright white background, but I know that to will probably change.

I have also become very very old - I had not entered a year of birth in the old system and now the new one set me as born in 1900. While I was born in that century, it was indeed many many years after the turn of the century. I am NOT 112 years old!!!!

yes i am also 112 years old :p

Thanks for taking the time to upgrade the software. I appreciate all your hard work.

I know I'm a little older then most of you fanbois, especially the summer fanbois, but I find the quoted font very difficult to read. Perhaps its just the italics. I know I could increase the font size of the whole screen but the posting text is just fine and everything is then huge.

Another darker background request. Too much white for my eyes no matter which theme I choose.

Also agree with the quoted text being too small.

After changing my viewing settings ( wider ) as playing around for a bit - I've gone from apprehensive to loving the new software.

Nice job!

Steve, good work on the new forums!
It's a lot different, but seems much faster.
Now, if folks will just take the time to look around and figure things out (and read before posting), we can get back talking about Disney.

Some people adapt to the changes faster than others, and to help keep the questions out of the main part of the forums, Steve wisely put in this new sub forum for those who have an issue or are unsure of how to do something. A few of us Premium members volunteered to help answer questions and guide users along when needed.

And yes, it is a lot faster... I know I'm thrilled about that!
