FastPass is the dumbest thing Disney ever did.

I can't tell you how many times I heard, when I was at Peter Pan, things like "the FastPass wouldn't be good for three hours, the line is only an hour, let's get in it and save a couple hours." For me, that was an opportunity to go over and explain to them the line is no fun to stand in, and if you get a FP you won't ride for another three hours but you can do other things while you wait.

It makes me weep for humanity that this has to be explained. Quite frankly, if people think that way they deserve to be waiting lin the line.

FastPass is rediculas. Allow me to explain.

I work at BTM. First and foremost, FP is a headache for EVERYONEinvolved. The guest goes and gets a FP at Splash, then goes and gets one at BTM. It won't give then a valid FP. They and moan to us. The guest is mad. We are annoyed with 300 people a day complaining about how unfair the whole system.

Second. Talk to any CM who has been in the company for awhile, and they will tell you that these absurdly long lines started right around when FP started. BTM never had a wait time over 30. On the busiest days, you MIGHT see 45. But then FP starts, and you have 60, 70, and higher.

Anyone agree/disagree?

That could be the dumbest thing I have ever heard..maybe ever. Did you honestly just say that it only hit 30 minute wait times for BTM, and "maybe" 45 minutes on the busiest days? HaHaHa! Were you born when Fast Pass was created or something? BTM, Splash Mountain and Space Mountain before Fast Pass were all 90 minute waits (almost all year, except slow seasons) Fast Pass is the best thing any theme park can do, and they do it right. You cant sit there and Fast Pass every single ride in the morning and jump on every ride with a 5 minute wait time. They space out the time so you're limited which is exactly how its supposed to be. People need to stop about every single thing they can find wrong about Disney. They won't be perfect. Nothing is. But if you wanna compare to any other theme park/resort... they are MILES and MILES beyond anything.

I had never used fast pass until my last trip that I just back from a week ago. Based on all the posts I read about it here, I really thought it was going to be difficult to use and would not like it at all. Well as it turns out, our whole family loved it. I had my husband and mom stand off to the side with the kids while I quick grabbed our fast passes. We then went to see other non fast pass attractions or have something to eat, and then it was time for our ride. It was so nice not having to wait 45 minutes + in line to experience an attraction.

To the original poster, I am sure that if the shoe was on the other foot and I worked at Disney, I bet I would find it a pain in the rear end too, but as a guest it is fantastic.

Doesn't Disney pay the OP to work? If so, what's the big deal with answering questions? It's Your Job!!

I have a simple solution for employees who don't like my policies...

Don't let the door hit you in the ...

Congratulations! You have learned the secret of the FP! It actually works without much complications. Now if you want to get to the next level of FP use, show up after the latest return window time on your ticket. I won't give away the surprise, but something really cool happens.
