Fantasyland expansion a go - CONFIRMED

I think a Blue Sky type showroom would fit better in the park that the work is going to happen. I'm still liking my idea of a Blue Sky Cinema to currently take over the Main Street Cinema. They already have a screen there for preview videos and a register if they plan on selling any merchandise. Just put in some models and artwork and you're done. I feel that might be more of a practical approach.

Has anyone thought that maybe the reason Pixie Hollow has now doubled in size from the original blueprints and has been pushed back to the 2013 opening due to plans not being finalized could be because they are adding the tinker bell dark ride that Al Lutz said Tony Baxter was working on? There is entirely too much land devoted to Pixie Hollow just to be a meet and greet and childs play area. Also Pixie Hollow is the one thing already designed and completed somewhere else so the only reason I can think of to hold it back an extra year and not announce the details is because they are planning on adding the attraction and the design is not yet completed.

I agree according to the plans almost 1/4 of the land is devoted for Pixie Hollow. Plus on top of that with the delay, I have a feeling something is planned for that area as well. Because they gave it nice chunk of land, and I don't think they need something that MUCH for a M&G, and Photo-op...

Im not happy with the new Fantasyland. So we are getting only one ride and are going to have two dumbo rides?Ok the Arial ride looks good and thats it,the Dumbo area looks like a carnival area just like Dinoland and everything else is a meet and greet.I like the be our guest dining but the Gastons tavern? The magic kingdom is alcohol free ,I know we have liberty tree tavern now with no alcohol.I think there is so much more they could have done than just build meet and greet areas one ride and a dinoland remake.:shrug:Did you notice in his speach that Pixie hollow will not be built in the first phase of Fantasyland.

No offense to you, but can't people just be happy were getting anything?

The MK is alcohol free for a reason, it's primarily a kids park. If you want to grab a drink, hop the monorail to the Contemporary, Poly or GF. It's what the majority of people do.

Never thought about it till you guys mentioned it, but a Blue Sky Cellar would be perfect for Imagination.

Hopefully we haven't cursed it now. :D :lookaroun :D

My ideas are free for the taking. I think someone else came up with the idea here so I'm certain Imagineering already had thought of it also.

I mean, I've heard nothing about one even coming to WDW. SO if one does, I have no idea where it would be placed.

My gut just tells me it would be in MK.

If they have one, I think it should be in the park depicted in the work. I guess that's not an ironclad rule, but it would make more sense IMO.

Well I'm hoping for a "Blue Sky Atrium" upstairs at Imagination. Because Imagination is at the root of all Imagineering does. Perfect fit. And it will let Epcot share in some of the excitement while the park awaits it's turn.

It's perfect.

I just don't think they'd put it there.

Personally, I think that it should be part of an ever changing Imagination ride with Dream Finder and Figment, where they talk about some of the creative minds, and projects that Imagineering has created. The post show could then feature some models and concept art. The thing is, the idea has been suggested by several fans, and is a very obvious placement - because it had been suggested by fans, Disney may not use it for fear of lawsuits where people cite stolen concepts.

If we see anything in the parks, I would guess we'd see some models and concept art in One Man's Dream.

No, Barnstormer will be rethemed.

I can't wait for the Cheese Coaster.

I agree I dont want alcohol in the magic kingdom and I dont want carnival type attractions there. (new Dumbo area)Walt always said he didnt want that stuff in his parks fine in Dinoland but not in Magic kingdom please.I am happy they are expanding but do it the correct way.No more meet and greets please waste of space in the park.Cindy has a castle put her in it,put Belle in Germany no need for this in Magic kingdom.Throw some $$ at tommorrow land (oops they spent to much on that joke of a Stitch stage)that was not needed. only 4 days till Im in WDW:sohappy:

No offence but it seems like you have no idea what your talking about!!!

1) The new dumbo area is not some cheap carnival attraction. It's something that is taken out of a story book, and created in real life....

2) I'm sorry but these things are not just Meet and Greets. I mean yes they are, but they are of the most unfreakinbelieveable beautiful meet and greets. Not only with this DRAMITICALLY improve the landspace of the park, and finnaly make Fantasy Land beautiful. Also you know some people here have children, so maybe you should be considerate for us people, unlike you who's only focus is MORE, MORE rides....

3) I knew coming in that this expansion will be mostly M&G (albei the most beautiful m&g in disney history), but I knew it would make our park one of the most gorgoeous look, and I knew it would be RICH in themeing....That's what I'm estatic for...
