How much of that area was 20K? I never realized how much space was back there!

If I'm not mistaken (since my kids love the playground, I think I know) just the sandy looking area about center of the picture is Pooh's. It doesn't include any of the green grass.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

It's the dry dock at the North End of Bay Lake. I'm trying to figure out what the two red-roofed boats are. They're not anything I'm used to seeing in Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon. My guess is they're either Friendships or boats from Animal Kingdom.
They certainly look like the AK boats...

Those are two of the AK boats. They have been using them for Special cruises on the seven seas lagoon.

It appears as if the actual ride building itself has been removed as well. Is that true? I missed that!

Construction Trailer?

Hey guys,

Is that a construction trailer I see sitting beside the trees between Pooh's Playful Spot and the grassy depression? :veryconfu

Yes the ride building was removed. However the North and East walls of the building were left.

It may be. However that doesn't mean anything as in this photo PPS is still under construction.

Ah, wonderful, now perhaps people will believe that Pooh's Playful Spot really doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things...

Or maybe not.

P.S. I just saw the name Pooh's Playful Spot in a whole diffrent light... or maybe I just have a dirty mind...:lookaroun

Connor, Imoms are everywhere.

tsk, tsk.

You know, that E-Ticket would have really been useful this year, with the celebration and the recent record attendance levels...

P.S. That grass is blindingly green.

Actually, that is exactly why it was NOT needed this year :hammer:

I love the BEVs on Windows Live. I spent 4 and a half hours looking at WDW on Monday night. It could be easier to use, but I think the view makes up for it.

I am so glad I am not the only one out there who did this. I dont think I spent 4 hours but id venture a guess that it was atleast 2 hours. Windows Live is a major pain but it was worth it. Im always hoping to discover something new, interesting, or suspicious looking lurking behind the scenes in Disney World. So far nothing out of the ordinary. Ill keep trying. Lol. :animwink:

On the topic of 20k and such...I never realized how big the area was. Pooh's Playful looks like a complete waste of life now more than ever. I cant believe that was the best they could come up with. :hammer: Earlier in this thread someone mentioned that two walls from he original ride bldg were left up. Any reason why? Seems odd to me. :veryconfu

Oh well. I'll just be thankful for all of the other wonderful stuff the Imagineers have conjured up as of late.

Edit: I just realized this was my 150th post. Yay! Junior Membership is mine... Lol.

You're welcome to check out the progress of the demo on my site: http://www.giveneyestosee.com/20k/

I've got pictures throughout the whole process posted.

It looks weird to see all that open space. The way they have the landscaping around Pooh's now comes off a little chlosterphobic to be. Seems like they could easily have opened it up a bit more. The Lagoon obviously felt much roomier then how it is currently.

A Waste of Space

Wow, I am deeply saddened by how much wasted space there is behind the awful Pooh's Playful Spot. I can't believe that the Disney Corporation would rather have something as useless as Pooh's Playful Spot rather than a new attraction similar to the Roger Rabbit Car-Toon Spin, it would give the Magic Kingdom a decent transition from Fantasyland into Toontown, plus it wouldn't be that bad of a transition from that into the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway as well. But hey, what do I know. I just feel like the Magic Kingdom is getting a cold shoulder lately with half ______ rides and attractions. Hopefully we get something decent in time for the 40th Anniversary in 4 years. :)

You are looking at the aerial photography, you need to look at Bird's Eye View. Go to the top of toontown & you will see "Bird's Eye View" on the left. CLick on that & play with the settings until you can get to fantasyland.
