Alan Rickman is brilliant as Snape. The first thing I ever saw him in was as the villian in 'Die Hard', and it was incredible.

You crack me up!  But you're welcome anytime, my dear. :animwink:
I haven't seen Alan Rickman in much else, but he really is an amazing actor. He plays evil so well. :D

So...I have a tiny gripe...why do people on these boards constantly live in the past? Why do they hang onto attraction ideas that were concieved years ago, but will have no way of ever coming true, for various reasons? It makes no sense to me. And yet they continue to hang onto these asinine notions.

I have no idea...I mean I have no idea what the past WDW was like, my memories of it only began last November. I think people cling to nostalgia, y'know...'this was so special to me when I was a child, and it should never change...' But things change and move on, and it doesn't have to be a bad experience. And people look for perfection, when people are extremely fallible. So, if something doesn't work, it can be improved or removed. The world doesn't end. And Disney a nice wonderful place, an ideal vacation spot...but when one is there all the time, I can't help but think the magic of it starts giving way to the complaints and living in the past.

I think you're right about all that. The more you go, the easier it is to find faults.

However, what I'm talking about people holding on to are attractions that have never even been built! Stuff that was only "blue sky" essentially. Do I think it would have been cool for the Western stuff that was supposed to be built in the MK to have been built? Yes, but instead we got POTC, which I think is pretty nifty. However, I'm not still bummed b/c they didn't build the other thing. That's the mentality I really don't get. Stop living for what we don't have and enjoy what we do.

Well said....and since I know next to nothing about all the 'blue sky' ideas from Imagineering, I can live in blissful oblivion.
Well, my folks should be getting here at any time, so I'm going to say bye for now. Have a good afternoon!

thanks. I don't know a whole lot about "blue sky" stuff, I try to stay in oblivion too. But I'll admit, some of the stuff I do know about sounds really neat. It just didn't happen, so I'm not gonna dwell on it.

Have a wonderful time Jenny. I should be going soon too for a while anyway.

The wedding was nice. The DJ sucked (getting our money back), the groom fell asleep and almost didn't show up ( ), and the pastor called my sister "Justin" at one point (her name is Jessi)

But otherwise! Photos:

Sissy with all the bridesmaids.

It was fun. Worth the stress, I suppose.

Oh Luke! I love the pics!!! I'm glad to hear the day went well. It's amazing how much DJs can make or break a wedding reception and all too often they stink. (And I would definitely know...I've seen some stinkers...*cough*lastweddingIworked*cough*

The day looked beautiful though. :D
