Expedition Everest effects status watch

27 March evening

- No steam
- No mist
- Front waterfall working
- Rear waterfall not working
- Bird not working
- Shadow working
- Yeti not working

Well, when I went on it last April, it was all working, but there were a lot of trains backed up.

Rode it 5 times (having never ridden before) last week.
- No steam effect for train.
- No mountain mist.
- Only waterfall I noticed was big one on main lift hill.
- No bird.

- The projection and AA seemed to be working fine.

Even with missing effects it was the best ride I've ever been on.

Does anyone find it sad that this $100 Million + attraction is just over two years old, yet they can't seem to maintain the simplest effects?

Does anyone find it sad that this $100 Million + attraction is just over two years old, yet they can't seem to maintain the simplest effects?

These effects are hardly "simple", the simplest of these effects are probably the waterfalls, and even then, those aren't exactly simple (the water is pushed 100-150 ft. into the air. The mist on the top caused the ride to go into emergency stops, and all of the other effects are very complex or could be dangerous to guests if they went wrong.

I'm going to be interested to see if they get it all worked out and 100% working for AK's 10th. The park is going to be on show that day, and needs to be working.

Saturday, April 19th.

-Yeti in A1 mode (looked like it was totally fixed!)
-no mist in tunnels, or mist effect from the top of the mountain like what was seen two days ago
-no steam
-no bird (only audio)
-front waterfall working
-rear waterfall not working

It was working real efficiently compared to the last couple of visits to meet the yeti. I've heard they've worked out a little of the kinks after hours over the last week.

I was hoping that the Yeti would be back in A show mode by now. We were there for 10 days in late June and it was never in A mode. I'm leaving Thursday for antoher trip and I had really hoped things would be back to normal.
