Back from a road trip to the ATM. My sister called me a few hours back and told me to check my paypal account. She paypaled me the money to buy her one from the same littler, gas+tolls to drive across the island to pick it up, first vet visit, a crate, and costs to bring it to Miami next week.

Tomorrow, I have to drive down to Ponce to pick up another puppy from the same litter to bring to her.

Rob, Milano is so cute! Has he started doing the whole butt wag thing yet?

The crew coach has one, and although he doesn't bark much, and is extremely hyper, he's very protective of his pack - which apparently includes the whole crew and people who are at the boathouse with them frequently.

I was walking on the cross country path (which starts and ends at the boathouse) which follows the river for a ways. Some jetskiers pulled up on shore just ahead of me, and Otto came racing up from the boathouse, barking and growling until they left, walked with me for a while, then disappeared again.

So they are wonderful, friendly dogs - until they feel one of their own is in danger.

How have you been lately, by the way? It's been ages.

It has been ages! I've been doing well, working as an Art Director down here in the third world, finished my masters in May, and I'm starting work on a postgrad 3rd year in Advertising. How about you? How are things in your neck of the woods?

Nah, he's pretty content not having to use his little body yet ;) He's pretty much hanging out in a laundry basket with a towel that he claimed as his domain, and I'm "happy" changing that towel every few hours.

This weekend he gets introduced to his "big brother" mambo, my older-older sister's golden retriever, while I fly to Miami to bring his brother to my younger-older sister.

Aww, so totally cute! I have always thought those dogs are so pretty.

We just got a new puppy a couple of weeks ago too. She is a Golden Retriever, the kids named her Bella but I believe that she should have been named Marley becuase that is what she acts like. She is sooo hyper which Goldens usually are not (this is my third) I love her to death but she is wearing me out! About an hour ago she turned over a Mt Dew and drank it before we saw that she did and she ran through the house tearing stuff up for about 45 minutes. Thank God she is asleep now, and I dare not wake her. :ROFLOL:

This is the little Hellion acting as if I did not just catch her in the toilet...

You would never know something that looks so sweet could cause so much damage..lol

Oh don't you believe it! She looks just like my Autumn did when we got her. Autumn's now 3 but we went through 18 months of non-stop trouble with her! She ate 2 carpets, 3 skirting boards, a dining room chair, 2 handbags, multiple pairs of shoes, shredded 2 coats and then figured out she was bigenough to jump up on the side in the kitchen and knock the breadbin on the floor to eat the loaf and somehow taught herself to open the cupboard that had her chocolate buttons in (it was an overhead cupboard!).

Now, she's better behaved but still hyper! When my mum spoke to her vet about her, his diagnosis was that we had got one of the "giddy strain" of retriever!

BTW, I've always wanted a Weimeraner and that puppy has just convinced me! Now I just have to convince my DH!:o

Well I am glad to know that I don't have the only giddy Golden.. I love her so much but I have never had a puppy that was this hyper. It's like something hits her and she just goes nuts! The chewing thing is pretty bad too. She has chewed on our wood floor and I caught her trying to chew the sheetrock in the bathroom, not too mention all the things that she manages to find to chew. We are remodeling our house so I have tried to be really careful about things she can get into but she managed to get ahold of some staples from the staple gun, Thank God I saw her with them because she would have swallowed them. On the bright side then I only have a little over 15 months of this to go then.... :dazzle:

Beautiful puppy!!

One question, why are the owners selling them so young? Puppies are typically not weaned until 6 weeks. No supposed to vaccinate them before that either.

Just curious....................

Honest answer, not a clue. We got Brodo (our previous Weimeraner) at 5 weeks, and Mambo (Golden Retriever I gifted to my sister and her kids) at 5 1/2.

Things are okay up here. The kids want to go to a different school next year so we've submitted the paperwork for it. I've been working in a call center as a Customer Service Rep for the last year and a half. Brenda's been making sure things are all good at home. And the cats and dog are co-existing peacefully and playing with each other.

Oh, and Brenda and I have decided that someday we're going to sell the house and live on a boat. When that happens, we'll definitely have to come visit.
