Not sure if it was mentioned a lot of the items are still up there like the pin board, the figment paint, and most of all the tunnel.

I wonder how ImageWorks is even an attraction (current incarnation), has anyone actually ever gone to imageworks for fun.

For fun?

Doubt it. The current Imageworks are so boring. There is only two or three real activities that are actually interesting there.

I think WDI would make the right move by reopening the upstairs Imageworks. Many guests would like the oppurtunity to be inside of those glass pyramids.

I guess...
I mean, if you're gonna take over the thea....oh....has that been talked about yet?:lookaroun
Why would WDI take out the HISTA theater for JII 4 while the majority of the ride space from the original JII remains unused?

Why wouldn`t they if they wanted to make the longest dark ride ever?
I'm trying to remember this, but the area that is currently the downstairs Imageworks was just blank space right?
No, it was the original ride. Try a thread search for plenty of discussions, diagrams, plans and all sorts of daftness :D

The Current Imageworks is mostly built over part of the old track. Part of the Intro and the original ending used to be in the space.

Also, Martin, do you have something to share with the class?

So they shrunk the ride to build a crappy version of Imageworks downstairs? That sucks... :fork:

Ok, with version 4, here's what needs to be done...

1. Completely redo JII, getting rid of the downstairs Imageworks and restoring the original track. The current loading area is fine as long as they restore the original track.

2. Re-open the upstairs Imageworks with some of the old exhibits restored to their former glory (Rainbow Tunnel, Stage School exc.) and add in some more advanced new exhibits for modern audiences.

3. Get rid of HISTA and replace it either with a new film or a simulator attraction.

.........or a "Blue Sky Cellar".

WDW really needs one of those :)

I like Martin's idea. Take over the theater (3D films have lost their appeal, every park has one now) and make the longest dark ride ever. I'd like a ride that eats people quickly because of the constantly moving omnimover and is nice and long telling a full story. The current verision just sort of ends. It's like they couldn't think of a way to finish the story so they decide to just have Figment hijack the ride, show you his house and then drop you off.

I could go for a nice 10+ minute ride with Figment and the next Dreamfinder (not necessarily Dreamfinder himself).

HISTA's really showing it's age as far as the 3D technology. Nearly every other 3D film in other parks including Disney ones look miles better than it.

I say make a new film, but close HISTA early and have a small return engagement for Captain EO during the spring/summer. Then, new film.

I'd prefer to see a return of Magic Journeys over Captain Eo, but at this point I'd be happy to see pretty much anything different. I like Honey, I Shrunk The Audience, but it has definitely run its course.
