I'm still here. I'm going to keep a low profile for the time being. I shouldn't have to defend myself for having unconventional points of views each and every time I have something to say. It's very energy consuming. My unconventional view points should be expected and it should be just accepted that I will always have these points view and just deal it instead of feeling obligated to attack it each time and force me to go on the energy draining defensive each time.
If you are aware that you have unconventional views then you shouldn't feel obligated to waste your energy defending your views.

Just state your views and provide enough evidence to back up any facts that you feel support your views and let the chips fall as they may.

No, because you would still believe the various rumors surrounding the imminent return of the monorails, based on "new" information or supposed footers suddenly uncovered by your extensive "research." And you would still insist that your "plan" would save the company money, ignoring the fact that such investment is beyond the pale of what Disney is looking to invest in their transportation system for the foreseeable future.

And it's not "buy(ing) the excuses." It's called reality.....
That's what's frustrating me. I question what I hear, read between the lines, and open the options of what is not being said. Reality isn't what we are told are how its perceived all the time. It is a shade of grey somewhere between the far fetched and the simplicity of the "facts" we are told to believe reality is.

The problem is that you are not dealing with facts. You are arriving at conclusions based upon wishful thinking.

I sincerely hope that you are never on anyone's jury. Not only would you likely invent facts or scenarios that lead to the wrong conclusion, but the defendant would likely end up with more charges than they started with.

I really like the button system. That would eliminate the CM that uses a radio to call someone. I don't think he calling a bus as I never saw anything come out of his call. lol

I've always thought the same thing. If they really are calling in the need for a bus, it's "reactive" instead of "proactive" - thus putting a bus in queue to get there 20 minutes later.

Unless they are just about to turn into the bus stop, they cannot tell you exactly when they will be there in the way you are suggesting. Many transit systems exist today that use the internet to see exactly where they are, but there are to many variables too determine when they will get to you. It will let you know, at least, that one is on the way, and that's a big help. When you're standing there, hot and tired, it certainly helps to be able to confirm that relief is on the way.

Considering that right now they are having a tough time to get a simple reservation made without screwing everything up, their bus app., will probably show the Cincinnati bus system instead of WDW's!:p It never stops amusing me how a place that was always considered cutting edge in technology has so many problems just doing routine stuff at this point.

Ok, given the size of WDW and the amount of traffic and obstacles, they may not be able to get the estimated arrival times exact, but with GPS and a computer system that knows how long a route SHOULD take, on average, it can get pretty dang close.

But having something that you can look at while sitting there at the bus stop would certainly improve guest morale. If you're sitting anywhere (bus stop, doctor's office, waiting for a show to start) and don't have any means to tell time or know when your wait will end, it's extremely frustrating.

I wouldn't need an app, but all they have to do is add a couple modules (or active them) to their existing bus dispatch system, and it's done. It really is that simple. Many cities already do it, and they're highly accurate.

:D Well Tom, your wish is WDW's command. They announced about 8 months ago that they are going to do just what you said..........Monitors at each stop to let everyone when the next bus for each destination is due..................camera's to count heads as you say, to redirect buses when needed

I believe its going to be done with the expansion of the bus loops at the MK.

Did they really? I must have completely missed that. I remember someone saying they were installing a test screen at....I think the GF, but there was no further discussion of it.

If they actually do this, I will applaud them. Of course, I hope it isn't just for show (like wait times, which are artificially modified based on how they want to distribute crowds), and that they actually try to maintain a reasonable schedule (their bus schedule now is in no way, shape or form "reasonable") and display reasonably accurate times.

Saying that footers exist that don't isn't a point of view. It's an error. Seeing animals in a South American mountain is similarly not a point of view. It's a delusion, although a creative one.

and if I know they are 20 minutes away, I might try another way to get to my destination or maybe go pee. I'm always thinking, as soon as I leave , the bus will show up, so I wait longer. Only to get more angry. How many times do we see someone give up and walk away only to see the bus show up.

Since you are the one doing the telling here, by you own argument, we should be skeptical of what you are saying.

Exactly! I've been in that situation plenty of times. Murphy's Law always prevails.

That's the first logical thing I've heard all week. Exactly. What am saying and everyone else. What I'm not saying and what they're not saying. What is not said is a big percentage of the total.

For example, I've heard repeatedly that I'm dreaming if I think I can make a difference. What is not known is who I know and who I am related to.

I'm on your (meaning everyone who is on here) side here.

Tom, of course no guarantees..........but I hope they follow though with the announcement they made.!
