Well you should at least give the new show a chance.Illuminations ROE was my favorite WDW attraction for years. So, not salty. Very, very prepared to be highly disappointed is more accurate a description.

Illuminations has a special place for me. I was hoping that they would continue with the story of Illuminations like they had in the past. Celebrating humanity, the culture and achievements of man kind. I am hoping this continues in the next story, with IP (not that I want IP in Epcot..) enhancing the story.Illuminations ROE was my favorite WDW attraction for years. So, not salty. That's fair, and I ultimately will. It's the fact they seem to be intentionally distancing the show that I need to be won over, I guess. Given how they have done IP inclusion in World Showcase thus far, I feel somewhat justified in my skepticism. But, your point is valid. (Though, I'd also note the original idea of Epcot is what got may of us interested in Disney Parks to begin with. So, I also think it's fair to feel worried. Since many of the statements so far seem to make clear they really want to change that legacy.)
The first two minutes of that video were the best from the whole presentation.

Still can't get over the fact that VOL are singing for the show...
Were they in the video yesterday? Somehow I never heard that VOL is in EF.

Just watched that video clip above.
Wow, I missed this during the panel as the webcast I was watching blacked out during this part of the presentation.
I am really liking what little we heard of the re-recorded Attraction melodies that are to be a part of the soundtrack for 'Epcot Forever'.
This now has me pretty stoked to see the show, as I will be at Epcot that first night to see it in person.
This could actually be a nice tribute to Epcot's legacy.

EPCOT truly had some magical original songs for those long gone attractions. They don’t need to rely on film songs for all of these nighttime shows.

Yes, The first female singer is/was VOL you can see a few of the VOL there as well. If you listen to Voctave (It is a group of VOL people singing together and its magical) and watch one of their videos, it is easier to see.

I'm loving this!!! Did you hear the final score somehow??? Wonder when Epcot will start hard testing for EF? I haven't seen any videos other than what we saw at at D23.
You won't make it back for July 4th or before fall 2020.

This almost brought a tear to my eye, no joke. Hoping something changes and you're able to attend. A show that gets this kind of hype from you deserves to be recorded to your standards to be preserved.
