Tehe, I think the most we could possibly get in there would be a scale model, still I vote for the Dreamfinder as a preview center again and again.

Hey, thats fine with me! Coming from someone that never got to ride Horizons, I'll very happily take a scale model of it. BTW, if it is built (yeah right!) I'll bring the orange scent! ;)

Or we could set it up as the Martin Smith Tribute center and just loop Martin's EPCOT Vids.:lookaroun:lol:

I can confirm, the gallery is both closed and empty (minus some stuff yet to be removed from the walls). All of the displays are 100% confirmed gone.

Okay, so it's gone. Sad.

But this would be a great place for a WDW Preview Center! They could use the space for a big model of WDW property in the middle, with displays and exhibits of the things that are currently being built and that are proposed to be added to the parks in the next few years. The model could be updated to reference the changing exhibits around the perimeter of the room.

DCA's new Blue Sky Cellar Preview Center is proving to be extremely popular. They had to install crowd control ropes and establish a queue to get in this weekend, pulsing the groups of people because the interior exhibits and theater were very full of people gawking at the models and sketches and sitting in the "Wine Tasting Room" watching the TV.

And the center hostess told me that the 100 inch Plasma screen where the 7 minute video plays is one of the largest commercially purchased Plasma screen TV's in existence and on public display. She said WDI was thrilled with being able to buy it. http://www.laughingplace.com/Lotion-View-746.asp

WDW needs one of these preview centers, and this Epcot space would be perfect for it!

I really hope you are right.

Whole property model? It might fit into both Innoventions buildings at a squeeze...

:D

Something about 20 feet long by 15 feet wide, leaving out the Celebration side south of the freeway and not neccesarily covering every acre of swampland along the perimeter property that will never be touched.

You wouldn't need to get down into the detail of people on the street and cars on the road, but something big enough to give you the general layout and where the new additions slot into the overall plan.

A model of WDW property roughly 20 feet by 15 feet would work well for that purpose; covering the five miles from the 192/I-4 interchange to the backside of the Magic Kingdom, and the four miles from Downtown Disney to Animal Kingdom, with everything in between. With a scale of approximately four feet equaling a mile, the Magic Kingdom on the model would be two feet by two feet. And in the broader model, you could then clearly see how large the property really is and how much land Disney has to work with.

If WDW management wanted a model bigger than 20x15 then go for it, but that size would allow people to recognize key parks and structures while still having a model that would fit the space and be workable for a popular WDW Preview Center.

^ I know. I have some modelling experience myself. I was teasing
Even at 20ft long the MK would be a lot smaller than 2ft tall. Better do a large wall plan for property, and massing models for parks and resort areas:

With budget in mind, major is very much a relative term--but I'm hopeful for you, as well as myself that we have a chance in this wonderful company!
Expect Major changes to each Future World pavillion plus a new pavillion and an old favorite moving to a new area(and Park). Keep in mind these are my ideas so expect to wait at least 10 years.

And before anyone asks no I am not trying to re-create the original Epcot Center. So don't expect Horizons or WoM to come back.
