You can keep guessing but it’s FoF. It has received a full commitment along with today’s announcements. Unaware of a final F! date, yet, but it’s coming.

Yeah, I just didn't know if the news you got today was specifically for Festival or maybe just the rehearsals for the AH VM parade.

I was led to believe they will be running a daytime parade in 2022. It would be rather silly to offer a nighttime parade and then claim daytime is unsafe.

Yes, but the contracted entertainers had their contracts terminated. Not just suspended. They believed their Disney “career” was over.

Yes correct. But they were always third party contracted entertainment. So it’s much easier to offer a new contract to a third party group that continues to exist outside of Disney.
G Fla was a “Disney owned” show that was technically “closed” a year ago. They were all technically Disney employees/cast members who were let go, and no promise of recall rights like other performers the past year. For all intents and purposes it’s done, their performance space removed, the resort is moving on.
I would love for it to come back, but those chances are slim.

They were brought back to play at DHS when the parks re-opened.

I think there’s a place for them somewhere, and I am hoping they are recalled. And they have continued to play as a group for at least some of the time, playing in the local area.

Will they keep the cavalcade for the 50th also once or twice a day with FOF sandwiched in between? That would make the cavalcade even better of an addition as a type of entertainment exclusively for the 50th. Or is the cavalcade temporary until FOF is back up and running?

Interesting…I’d actually be shocked if they kept the calvacades at MK once Festival returns. I figured they would just roll the 50th float, the anniversary costumes and work in The Magic is Calling into the new daytime parade.

Don't forget they used to have Move it Shake it. The 50th Calvalcade kind of replaces that.

Was just going to say that. At a minimum, they’ll want cavalcades until all M&Gs return. The MK one is part of the 50th package, so it stays at least 18 mos.

Psh, that's easy. "We are only offering a nighttime parade to protect our guests from the dangers of solar radiation. We want to make sure they have options to stay out of the sun."
