Very true! I actually thought they already had
Me too, turns out we were right. It is a part of Lucasfilm. Distribution rights of the first four films themselves are still under Paramount.

So probably not worth Disney offering for that difference, and prob Paramount would rather hold on if the pay was not a lot.

Disney probably does not see a lot of home video or streaming value on it to pay much for just the older Indy movies

Well I don't have a lot of details and I am not pretending to. I am not saying anything I don't know. But what I do know I stated in terms of scenic differences and how DL's and and TDS' will differ with their grand open scenes and temple interactions. It is not going to be that 1:1 in all those ways people are hoping.

It is ok. I don't take it personally.

I am glad you are honest.
But you do kind of pretend too…
You are on here giving advice, and making statements like you are in the know. Apparently you know nothing.

I have seen some interior plans for the ride and I know the model has changed. It is not on the scale of Cali or Tokyo inside or out.

All I have shared and all I claim to know. It is not much but I wanted to share.

Your attack does not make me know of more. Nor does it make me know less.

I don’t think it’s a requirement that they gut to produce one main open chamber to have an impressive temple. It’s an impressive initial reveal but seeing other vehicles also removes some immersion and sense of peril.

That is fair as well. I just present what I have seen in more recent iterations. The scale is slightly less in many aspects when compared to the other two IJA's. Like I stated in an earlier post, I think that if there is less of that, you could potentially have a more intense feel through temple passages.

So no giant open room then? That’s a shame, but understandable considering the structure. I hope it won’t feel like “all hallways all the time”.

Yes. It will all depend on execution and, critically, maintenance. That huge room in DL is impressive when all of the effects work.

Just seems sort of silly when yhe way people like to cope with losing CTX is it relied heavily on coordoors in the dark to get more darkened corridors then IJA. A critique that could hold true here.
Hopefully not more of the same. What I saw can't convey lighting grids or programming either.

Just to reiterate, the many changes this way are not a vomplete deal breaker for my taste. They do raise status quo concerns and Why I mentioned earlier, some will certainly be disappointed if they are expecting a 1.1 to the others or grander in scale.

The rumor I heard is that Indiana Jones is going to take the place of Dr. Seeker. The rest of the story and the ride itself will remain untouched, save for an Indiana Jones AA at the end.

It depends on how much they’re willing to spend on sets. Done correctly, you could have an awesome maze of passages.

Yes. And effects and timing vehicle programming. This is why the status quo would be the concern and hopefully the teams overcome it. . Interior physical sets on grand continious envrionments is not something recent projects include very often, and certainly not on the IJA scale in recent decade. Be more cautiously excited would be my message.

I could imagine doors closing or walls falling that result in unexpected changes of direction, etc. Sometimes limitations are the source of unexpected creativity... but unfortunately, @celluloid says it's not looking like that, so unless they're wrong or plans change...

Something like RotR would be nice, but that’s really expensive…maybe they can find the money since the ride system stays?

- Disney recently rethemed one of the most iconic attractions on Earth while bloviating about how important their replacement is and it was a clear downgrade

- They don't maintain the ride that's already there

- The new theme is blatantly chosen because it's the cheapest option

- The new ride is not the existing ride people already like that would require adding effects

I know I'm biased, but I don't think it's unreasonable to come to the conclusion this won't be a money-spending extravaganza with ideal results.
