Ellen's Energy Adventure The Big Bang!

Well too bad for those religions. They don't deserve to ride UOE if they get offended by something as simple as a truthfull theory.

This has nothing to do with religion/science, but you do realize that a "truthful theory" is impossible, right?

hey there's nothing wrong with believing in the Big Bang Theory AND the fact that God created the universe! :) They can both co-exist. Though I question those that REALLY think the Bible literally wants you to believe the world was created in 7 days flat....Anyway, I'm off track.

I have really come to love EEA. I don't know why...I loved Bill Nye as a kid, and I always thought Ellen was funny. I think some of the humor is lost on people for some reason though...

^ Exactly. Kind of like the fact that rain falls because of condensation (?) instead of God making it fall. God made the big bang to create the universe.

Anyways, it's a shame that most of the humour is lost, though there still seem to be alot of people who manage to catch smaller jokes.

One more thing, who else gets dizzy during the space scene when everything starts to go upside down?

I wish they could update this film portion of the attraction, make it digital, would like to keep Ellen since she is current, funny and is already an AA in the attraction...

Make the film digital, maybe 3D???

Get rid of the whole Jeopardy story, get rid of Bill Nye, Jamie Lee Curtis and Einstein and create a new story line about how she learns about energy and put more focus on conservation of energy :sohappy:

I agree with you up until the last part. They really need to get rid of Ellen. The spinning blocks were more amusing. Ellen or Nigel, I can't decide which one is the most annoying.:hurl:

At least Ellen has kept herself in the public eye, going from prime time comedy to daytime talk and now American Idol. When's the last time anyone heard from Bill Nye?

For the record, I really like the show and will be a little saddened when it's inevitably updated...but Ellen has managed to stay somewhat relevant over the years, so the show isn't a complete relic in 2010. Disney probably appreciates that.

Bill Nye is a professor at Cornell, last time I checked.

Obviously kids now don't know him, but ask anyone in my age group who Bill Nye is and they're gonna know.

He does lectures, I think he came to my University last year.

And I've seen some re-runs of the show, too. :D Good stuff.

They should take Ellen out while I would prefer no celebrity at all if they want to go that route I would like to see someone else.

Also those huge screens are begging for 3D.

Believe me, many teenagers and younger kids nowadays know and love Bill Nye. Disney needs to start re-marketing him again.

Haha, he was on The O'Reilly factor a few weeks ago. He had a fantastic debate with someone else on the show about Man-made Global Warming. Both sides kicked serious butt!!

But anyway...
I wish his PBS show was available on dvd without paying out the wazoo or ordering for school-related purposes. As a music teacher, I doubt I'd be able to convince my principal to order the set to show kids in class :D Maybe one day they'll put the entire thing out in seasons or something!

I remember Bill Nye! "bill Nye the science guy!" We always watched them in school! I would get videos from the library too!
