EE being vandalized before Grand Opening...

IT'S PART OF THE "SHOW"... sort of.

The purpose of previews and soft openings is to test out EVERYTHING about the attraction before it is officially opened. Guests included.

The folks pulling things apart are actually helping Disney learn what needs to be fixed and guest-proofed before the ride is ready to go.

It might sound strange, but it's better for things to get wrecked now when the ride is still getting up to speed than in July when the folks who installed the stuff aren't around anymore.

MKT, are you suggesting that these kids may have FL resident passes?

That is a valid point, but I don't think it impacts the fact that guest behavior of this sort is incredibly rude and should not HAVE to be tolerated. I agree the reality is that it does happen and that goes into the equation from the business and design standpoint, but I am all for barating these people and embarassing them as vandals and thieves. What they are by the language of the law, no matter how you cut it.

Over the last five years (trip 6 coming up) my husband and I have taken a cumulative 150+ teens to Disney World to participate in the Youth Education Series. I always hold a "come to Jesus" meeting (my name for an @&& chewing) before leaving that addresses any misbehavior. We travel 930 miles on a school bus. It is well known at my high school that I will not travel that far with disrespectful students. Like they say in north Louisiana about vandals "They ain't got no home trainin' ." Maybe it comes from spending 8-10 hours a day with teens, but I would have had to speak up. My students call it "gettin' crunk." If all the other guests in the line would have gotten "crunk" the vandals would have slunk back under their rock. LET'S ALL HAVE A COME TO JESUS ATTITUDE AND GET CRUNK WITH JERKS AT WDW!!

6 weeks 5 days until "yellow limo" rolls (school bus) ºoº

Why dont we make a wall of shame on WDWmagic?! Or on another site if steve wont allow it. Heck these people are openly destroying WDW property so a website surely wont stop them, but it might make other people go "hey your that kid that vandalizes!!"

Plus then when we see someone vandalizing just get the camera and say "congradulations, your going on the wall of shame!" THe punishment fits the crime!

I just got another Idea.

I'm thinking of getting oone of those old cameras that prints the picture right out of the front 3 seconds later (You know what I'm talkign about, right?) and taking a picture of any vandal I see, and then I'll write "Thank me for this!" in Sharpie and tape it right next to the item that was vandalized. Then I'll notify a CM.

Yes? No?

Where is my tar and feathers... How dare they.... I would have slapped him/her in the face and threw them over the balcony.......

Better yet why not take the picture discreetly of the guy or girl vandalizing and then hand it to the first CM you see. I think that works. Or you could go "HAHA i got your picture and now I'm gonna turn you in to a CM! MWAHAHAH" right in his/her face! But then they might run and and whimper in someplace dark.

Plus if you take a picture of them you can put them on the wall of shame site i talked about above!

Ironically, Sharpie and WDC are apparently pairing up for a marketing strategy. I think we should take the blocks off the faces and make some internet postings (I know legally that's not allowed, but would be nice to make some fun websites at jacka$$es.com)

Acctually it would be legal to post their face with out blocking it out. Because you are allowed to take and share photos of people in any public place. It's just one of the dangers someone takes when leaving their home, if you're in public anyone has the legal right to photograph you. So I say re-post the pic but don't block out their face.

The only good news is that people are throwing so many coins that they could replace all the labels in the line! Seriously, everytime I stand in that line I'm scared I'm going to get hit by flying coins. Every two seconds you hear a little *ping*!

That and the sound of EVERYONE in line ringing the damn bells!!! Yes you can reach them, yes they ring and the person in front of your JUST did it why do YOU now have to do it???!!!!

Sorry off topic.....

Yes please reveal the identity of the culprit.

Send your pictures and story to the Orlando Sentinel. Jaws reopening made the front page, I'm sure they'd love to hear how Disney's newest ride is already showing its age (however accelerated).

Except the Orlando Sentinel would somehow blame this on Disney.
