EE being vandalized before Grand Opening...

Now I know why I am always preaching to my kids when they ask why I said not to touch something, "If everyone touched or took a piece of it then it won't be preserved for anyone else to enjoy." I get sick of saying it but you have got to instill boundaries and respect in kids. Hopefully, they will carry that with them through life. If they don't and I catch them ever defacing anyone's property then they will answer to me and that is not fun.

 I've seen inappropriate guest behavior in the parks, but I've never actually seen someone vandalizing. Wow... I'm not sure what my reaction would be, but it wouldn't be a happy one. I'd probably just go get a CM. It must be peer pressure, but I don't understand how anyone can be inside the park and not be overwhelmed and impressed enough by all the grandure to at least respect it.

And second of all, there will not be water there. How hard is this for people to grasp?
Listen, I asked a WDI guy about it the other day. There will be water. He said that. What source are you getting your info from that you so strongly believe it?

I think I've been emboldened by this thread to alert CM's to anything resembling vandalism in ANY queue. And leading them out by their ear would be how I would start. Defacing and/or vandalizing a queue just disgusts me... If you want to start the blame game, start with the parents who haven't instilled any morality or values in their kids.

I'm trying to come up with a little spiel to say to anyone I see vandalizing anything at Expedtion Everest (I'll probably some up with something later that can apply to any and all attractions, but for now EE).

Right now I've got:

"Excuse me, I'm just curious, do you always feel compelled to destroy art, or is this just a Special Occasion, because people traveled across the world to bring back all this stuff so you can enjoy looking at it, not ripping it apart, and I'm sure any cast member or security guard would happily agree with me. In other words, hands off".

Anyone got anything to add?

How about something like..."If you don't stop messing with the theming, I'm going to break your goddammed hands."

Simple, yet direct, and shows my dislike for little pukes (and older ones for that matter) who have nothing better to do than to destroy something. Do they think it is cool or something? Its so stupid...

There are other threads here talking about how Disney has lost the magic or CM's aren't as good.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, THIS is the REAL problem!

Vandals make me so mad! I think that we should all get name badges that look similar to CM badges, and if we see anyone vandalizing, take a picture, then tell them we are under cover CM looking out for vandals. Escort them to security, show security the pictures we took and have the ________________ ejected from the WDW all together. We dont need people like that to ruin the experience for everyone else. I mean it isnt like this is Univeral. Thats just my opinion!!

OH!... I was ed! ... so I began taking photos of them! LOL. I figured they'd get the hint if I took enough pics of them!

How come all you did was take pictures of them? Did they "get the hint"? Wouldn't it have been more effective to confront them?

Hey Johnny,

How about editing your post and deleting the GD word? That in itself is pretty offensive.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

The only good news is that people are throwing so many coins that they could replace all the labels in the line! Seriously, everytime I stand in that line I'm scared I'm going to get hit by flying coins. Every two seconds you hear a little *ping*!

Well there is enough cash... if they can get over all of the park maps folded into paper airplanes, water bottles, McDonalds French Fry containers, ect. to fish the change out. I don't know if there is a water feature planned for that area.. but I hope there is.

For me? Right now? Very hard.
I was told in an email from a reliable source that there would indeed be a water feature in that ditch.
If you know otherwise...please enlighten us.

I'm not condoning this by any means... but...

I can see the quick-links...after all, they are right there in easy reach...

But to squeeze through the chicken-wire to rip the label off a can or box?

THAT ed me off more than these two 15 year olds trying to pluck something I could get them for free....

The whole day went like this!
Going back to the TTC at midnight from MK, there was this 'Arsehole' taking home a souvenir around his neck... one of the time-card-lanyards for an attraction's queue-line sign-board. Proud as can be, he was! ...showing it off to others in the monorail car.

Just makes me want to push him back into the pit after the monorail departs the station...

...is that wrong?!?

Yeah, that's wrong....you didn't clarify that you'd remove the covers from the high-voltage bus bars first!

Don't you know,

being a WDW CM in an unskilled entry level hourly position that requires no previous experience entitles one to infinite knowledge of all happening at all times in the realms of Bay Lake and Lake Buena Vista, as well as the 32821 section of Orlando.

I agree, but you may want to edit the quote in your post also. ;)
