My favorite Disney castle of all time is the Beast's castle. (It's very convincing, great use of forced perspective)

Wdw fans be like “Disneylands castle is so small and lame why would I fly to california to go there!” And also like “I love Beast’s wedding cake castle its so charming!”

The Beauty and the Beast castle is chintzy as all getup. I don't think the "forced perspective" works at all there. It looks like something from a miniature golf course.

There is a mini golf course in palm springs with a blatant rip off of disneyland paris’ castle! And that looks better than the beast castle.

Any updates on Main Street? I'll be visiting the first week of March and while I've been before and won't be offended if it's still being worked on, I'd definitely love to have it back to normal. How long does this really need?

Right now there are walls continuously from town square to the hub rather than one or the other. Hopefully making progress but no fireworks are scheduled until march 16th.

The Cake Castle was so gaudy, yet so charming. I don't really like the look of Cinderella Castle, so I considered it an improvement.

It's adorable that you're asking me construction questions, but if I had to guess I'd say since it's so narrow in that area they don't have much room to stabilize it with wood beams on the bottom, so they do that on the top?
