Are there any restaurants in WDW that have a dress code?

The reason I ask is when my GF and I first started going to WDW together, we would get dressed up for the California Grill. After the second year we noticed most people in there are dressed in normal clothes. Thats a pretty mice restaurant so im surprised that they dont have a dress code? Do ant restaurants in WDW have a dress code?

The Signature restaurants have a dress code of Business casual (at least Disney's take on it). I have seen people turned away and others who do not meet the code given the chance to change and come back and also those being seated in the back of the restaurant away from everyone. Many people like to dress up when they go to dinner while others feel they are on vacation and there is no need.

Disney's business casual code is easily met and many people dress this way anyway. As quoted fro allears :

No hats, swim suits, swim suit coveralls, tank tops, T-shirts, torn clothing or flip-flops. You can wear - dress shorts, pants, jean pants, collared shirts, blouses, sweaters, pants. Restaurants now requiring Business Casual include: Artist Point (Wilderness Lodge), California Grill (Contemporary), Citricos and Narcoossee's (Grand Floridian), Jiko (Animal Kingdom Lodge), Flying Fish (Boardwalk), and Yachtsman Steakhouse (Yacht Club).

Jeans must not ripped and t shirts must not have any sayings.

I beleive the only one you REALLY have to dress up for is Victoria & Albert's. The other signature restaurants are "business casual" as the pp stated.

If this helps you any during my upcoming trip (NEXT WEEK YAY!!!)

I'm eating at Jiko my first night, just gonna wear normal jeans, and an untucked polo shirt, and probably some brown Nike sneakers. it's probably border-line business casual, but i don't see them giving me any problem and/or requiring me to sit in the back.

My second night I go to V&As and im gonna wear a suit and tie w/pocket square. I figured if you're gonna spend $125-200+ pp you might as well get spiffy, and it's a good reason to pull out that expensive suit you never get to wear other than to job interviews and weddings lol.

The weather is pretty hot right now so I doubt they're gonna really expect people to dress to the max right now for their signature restaurants...but I'm sure they just don't want people with super ripped up jeans walking in all wearing Tapout and affliction T-shirts.

p.s. V&A's is the only day I really plan to head back to the room to get changed and all that. As for the other days..if I wanted to wear something nicer for dinner..I plan to just bring it (jeans/polo shirt, nicer shoes) to the park I'll be at..and just keep it in a locker.

I think that as long as you don't look like you just left a theme park you are in good shape. I am one of those people who like to shower and change for dinner...no matter where I am going. When I went to Jiko this winter, I wore nice jeans and a sweater. It was definitely within their dress code. I would stay away from shorts and tshirts and you will be fine at the signature restaurants.

I have been to Disney Signature Dining restaurants in jeans and Disney tee-shirts that have words and cute Disney characters on it.

The Signature Dining restaurants that I have been to are Citrico's,Jiko,Narcoossee's,Flying Fish Café,Todd English's bluezoo,Fulton's Crab House,The Hollywood Brown Derby,Cinderella's Royal Table and Yachtsman Steakhouse.

At Citrico's and Jiko I had jeans on and a TinkerBell shirt. At Citrico's I had a TinkerBell Hoody that said "Tiny TinkerBell" and at Jiko I had a TinkerBell tee-shirt that said "Little TinkerBell".

The first time we are at the Cali Grill we (my wife and I) turned up in shorts and t-shirt and to be honest we did not look great after a long day in the park. This is because we simply forgot about the dress code.

That said, no-one ever said a word and we had a great meal. On later visits we have made a bit more of an effort (at least getting changed first) but it's still not what I would call 'dressed-up'

Basically, the only restaurant I would dress up for is V&A

I'm going to Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast, I would hope it's one of the few "signature" restaurants that doesn't have a dress code cus I'd hate to have to get all pretty just for breakfast. especially since i'm planning to spend the rest of the day at Magic Kingdom on what's gonna be a very hot and humid day.

In regards to a dress code at Disney restaurants, unless they specify other wise, I think they just expect you to be somewhat presentable...
i.e. not in a t-shirt that has that little boy peeing on something, a 2 sizes too small tube top which in turn is inappropriate for the kiddos to see, and shorts that qualify as underwear

V&A is the only one that I know of that has a true dress code. But for SD - it is requested that you are more dressy then casual. The CM told me when I made the ADR's for our SD restaurants, to remember that these are Signature dining experiences and to dress accordingly. I interpret that to be "business casual" of sorts. I hope that this helps!
