The Vloggers are just going to have to move to Florida. Disneyland is out of business.
When I dined at Naples on Thursday there was a group of eight or ten seated near us. Not sure how big a group you're talking about but I highly doubt they'd take anything larger than a group of twelve. Have you tried Open Table?Does anyone know if the restaurants are taking reservations for big groups? I’ve called Naples 4 times today and no one picks up the phone nor is there any automated message.
Open table only takes groups of 4 at most. I have a party of 10 so looking to book two weeks in advance. When I dined at Naples on Thursday there was a group of eight or ten seated near us. And then they can all be social distanced apart lolBook two reservations for 4 and one reservation for 2, problem solved.
There are some folks on the Twitter machine saying that you have to wait in line to get into the Downtown Disney stores because... they only let six customers inside each store at a time!
And there was a family of 5 upset because they could never go into a store together because there was always a party of 2 already inside, and CM's were telling them they had to split up if they wanted to go inside the store. This obviously wasn't the massive World of Disney, but smaller shops like Wonderground, Dress Shop, Disney Home Store, etc.
How do you run a mall and only let six people shop inside a store at one time?

I have always prided myself on my gracious table manners (my mom used to quiz me on fish fork vs. dessert fork), but in a situation like this and in times like this, I would feel it was perfectly acceptable to start throwing bread rolls and butter packets from one table to another.
How do you operate a place like Downtown Disney under these conditions and expect it to be successful? The entire business model depends on volume of guests which is currently impossible. That said, some businesses HAVE done okay over the last four days but most have performed miserably. That would be sustainable for a week or two if the parks were opening soon. There are some folks on the Twitter machine saying that you have to wait in line to get into the Downtown Disney stores because... they only let six customers inside each store at a time!

Well....now that you brought it up. There IS ONE person who may know and I do have my one post of the day to talk about it.How do you operate a place like Downtown Disney under these conditions and expect it to be successful? If crowds dwindle this week as expected then this whole early opening gambit will have proven to be folly. It will take a miracle for Downtown Disney not to close again by the end of July.
"Cardrooms"
I've learned more new words and phrases from these Califorona press conferences than I did in school.
Thank you!
I've seen that word "Cardrooms" in several Sacramento communications on Covid. I had no idea what that was.
I know what a casino is. But what the heck is a "cardroom"? I assume that pertains to playing cards.
I listened to about 90 seconds of Governor Newsom's live announcement on this today. He kept rambling and using the phrase "stretch goals", and how he has other goals "around stretch goals", so I just had to turn it off. I have absolutely no idea how a "stretch goal" differs from a normal goal. I'm sure there are plenty of folks in HR who know what he's trying to say, but I don't.
I imagine cardrooms have stretch goals around indoor operation.
It's a casino without the slot machines. Like Commerce Casino or The Bicycle Casino. They may say casino in the name, but they are technically card rooms. In an odd legality cardrooms are allowed in California while full fledged casinos are not unless you are on Native American land.
Take this from someone who play a little too much poker.
