It's a casino without the slot machines. Like Commerce Casino or The Bicycle Casino. They may say casino in the name, but they are technically card rooms. In an odd legality cardrooms are allowed in California while full fledged casinos are not unless you are on Native American land.

Take this from someone who play a little too much poker. :)

Ha! Well, that's fascinating. I had no idea, and I've driven by that Commerce Casino several times.

Cardrooms. That's my new word for the week.

You're going to need some cards. (Side note: Can invite Theory 11 to open a booth at the Homecoming Festival to showcase magicians and card artists)

Except on Tuesdays. :D
The Rules of Fizzbin:

The game can be played with a standard Earth deck of cards, despite the slightly differing deck on Beta Antares IV.

How many players can take part is not specified, but four is apparently the usual number. Dealing always progresses clockwise.

Each player gets six cards, except for the player on the dealer's right, who gets seven.

The second card is turned up, except on Tuesdays.

Two jacks are a "half-fizzbin."

If you have a half-fizzbin a third jack is a "sralk" and results in disqualification;

one wants a king and a deuce, except at night, when one wants a queen and a four;

if a king had been dealt, the player would get another card, except when it is dark, in which case he would have to forfeit that card.

The top hand is a "royal fizzbin," consisting of a king, a two, a jack, a six, two queens and two aces during the day, and a queen, a four, an ace, an eight, two kings, and two jacks at night; but the odds against getting one are said to be "astronomical."

I've been quite seriously "eyeballing" these for awhile. The ad keeps popping up whereever I go online.

I have 3 pair. 1 set to keep, 1 set to play with and 1 set to give away. They aren't "play" cards these are quality stock cards. The only thing I wish they did is make the Light and Dark face cards differently. Having the same face cards on both is a missed opportunity. Still, They are great and not too expensive for a one time purchase, but value is how you see it vs. the actual price.

So my wife and I were running some errands in OC and decided to make a pit stop at DtD. Parking and entry, zero issues. Guests were all wearing masks, social distancing for the most part was in place. A few people that chose to sit in areas that were clearly marked "don't sit" but some folks will always be ignorant of the rules.

Ate at Naples, waited about 20 minutes vs a stated wait of 40. Great pizza and a couple cold beers. Went to the Confectionary and they texted us that we could enter while we were at Naples...not a problem show up and they will let you get in line even if it's well after when you receive your text to show up. Waited about 5 minutes there. Only downside was that is a much smaller selection available. No cupcakes, cake pops, pretzels sticks but still lots of yummy treats available.

We weren't really looking to go to World of Disney...the line was very long so even if we wanted to, we would have passed. Reasonable lines for most other place, man with zero wait at all.

Crowds were pretty decent, more than I thought would be there. Overall, good experience but can't see us rushing to go back unless it's when we are visiting Sam's (whenever the H it opens)

I have reservations there next week. They couldn’t accommodate a big party so we had to split tables. Looking forward to going back there.

>>A pair of restaurants will reopen and a new retail shop has debuted at Downtown Disney as the outdoor shopping mall next to Disneyland continues a gradual return to the new normal following an extended coronavirus closure.

Tortilla Jo’s and Ballast Point Brewing Company will reopen on Thursday, July 23 to rejoin restaurants that have already reopened at Downtown Disney. The California Sole shoe store debuted on Wednesday, July 22, replacing the former Sanuk sandal store.<<

>>Disneyland has tightened requirements on COVID-19 face masks in Downtown Disney with an eye toward strengthening health and safety protocols as three additional locations reopened at the outdoor shopping mall next to Disney’s Anaheim theme parks.

The resort has updated two face covering policies at Downtown Disney to prohibit neck gaiters and bandanas and close the so-called “sip and stroll” loophole.<<

Well it looks like things are working there given everything. Since things don't look too bad after a few weeks we decided we're going to go soon. Maybe this week or next.

Just drove by Simba. APD is out.

Signage says "Downtown Disney Parking is on Pause".

Aka the lot entrance is closed, due to DtD security check not allowing new guests.
