They don't give out free bread anymore? I have a distinct memory of going to Naples for dinner before going back in the park with my family when I was pretty young (I'd guess around 9-10 years old) and I knew I was gonna get hungry later so I took some pieces of break and put butter on them (I wanna say they were little bread balls?) and then closed them back up sandwich style so there was no butter exposed, I put a few of those into some napkins, then brought them into the park in some cargo pockets. Later we were in line for Pirates and I got hungry and pulled out my bread and butter from my pockets and my family made fun of me for being weird (which I admit it was but I was only like 10) but then asked me for some of my bread. Sorry for the random story, but that's all I can ever think of when I think about Naples in DtD 🤣

I’ve been known to walk into Boudin at DCA and ask for 6 bread samples for my “family outside.”

Mobile order a full loaf from that cafe right there, and have them slice it. Best $6 meal in the resort.

Every time I go with a new group and insist on swinging by, there's always a touch of skepticism and judgement amongst them as I order a loaf of bread. But, inevitably, we'll be in line and I'll start getting stairs and the tune quickly changes as people decided they want some.

Not a bad idea and It’s great bread but when I’m at DL I’m snacking so much that one of those loaves would put me out of commission for half a day....which I guess is the point. Lol.

Welcome to the Anaheim Resort, where there's no one around and Disneyland theme parks are abandoned while old banners advertise Star Warsian additions that even fewer people can enjoy now than when they originally opened. They seem to have cursed the DLR.
I've said it before, God is punishing Disneyland for Pixar Pier and the Guardians Tower.

They gave out free bread just before this thing hit as well. I was surprised but didn't actually ask about it on this visit. Pizza was enough for us quite honestly.

Bread typically isn’t served at Pizzerias as the entrees are very... bready.

The Anaheim White House has Pizzas as part of its Menu, but offers freshly baked bread to all its guests at no charge.

Sorry meant to say authentic Italian Pizzerias. I think Naples only does because of its location at DTD.

That makes sense, I try not to eat too much bread at restaurants so I don't get full or eat a ton of carbs (not necessarily watching carb intake, it's just more annoying cause of diabetes and I don't like taking so much insulin at once) but I guess I never realized I never really see bread before getting pizza at an actual pizzeria. Very interesting, thank you!

I am Type 1! I was diagnosed when I was 10 so in the same situation as your daughter as I also love bread / pasta. I make homemade pasta and it's hard to count how many carbs it is so I have to estimate but yeah carb counting is my whole life, it is not fun at all. Even if I count all my carbs and account perfectly my sugars have been going up and down like crazy recently, been trying to adjust basal rates and other things the past few months but still having an annoying time

My daughter was diagnosed about a month after a WDW trip. She was drinking bottles of water ($4+ a pop of course) and going to the bathroom constantly while in WDW. We of course didn't think much of it and then got the tough news a month later. She's been a rock star, uses the omnipod and a dexcom and has made life much easier. Were you ever a part of PADRE foundation in Orange County? Was a life saver for her and us.

Keep up the good fight. I know how hard it can be and am always in awe of how brave folks with T1 are day in and day out.
