I was wondering if disney had a area in DTD or any of the parks where they showed older disney movies like Snow White or Cinderella. If not it might be a nice thing to have, catch a break and watch some old favorites. Thank You

i dont know weather they do but it would be a nice addition or even just a set of cinema screens that just show disney movies both old and new maybe they could do surprise showings of films just before realise to get the audiences view

Both the Beach Club and the Fort Wilderness Campground have outdoor screenings of Disney movies at night. It's usually a more recent movie, but sometimes they throw in an older classic.

There's also the small theatre on Main St USA showing old Mickey Mouse and Silly Symphony cartoons. No full length, but something...my DD7 and DD4 love the old ones, so it is a nice reprieve from the heat sometimes, while my DW shops nearby...

I cannot remember whether it is ASMovies or ASMusic, but one of the two offer outdoor screenings as well.

Movies would make since....but I don't remember seeing anything about this when I was there last year. I know they had the TV in the lobby, but I didn't see info on outdoor shows.

Some of the Disney hotels (including Swan and Dolphin) have a movie night. Usually Saturdays in summer, and some days in October for Halloween.

I stayed at ASMusic in February and they did it at night there, outside the main building right in front of the pool. I know I have heard of other resorts doing this but can't remember which ones. I think Pop Century did it too but not sure!

Way in the back of Expostition Hall on Main Street they used to have a theater where they showed old cartoons. It was a great, quiet hidden treasure. During the summer- a cool refuge with entertainment. Haven't been to the back of the store recently to check if its still there........

a candidate for "most unclear threadtitle of the year" ... :D

I thought it was a thread about a group of female deer. :veryconfu:lol:

There are several places to see old classics that I'm aware of...

1. Fort Wilderness campfire, every night. Schedule is not so easy to find, but it's out there. This is the closest thing to a real screening. It's outdoor, but it's set up as a theater (seats, large screen, etc.).

2. Several other hotels do it seasonally and on some night. Beach Club, All-Star Music (should be Movies, but it's not) frequently have an outdoor showing, but I don't think it's every night.

3. Old cartoon shorts in the back of Exposition Hall on Main Street.

4. The lobbies of most of the resorts have a small area set up for kids that shows classic shorts and movies on a loop.

5. The food courts of each of the All-Star resorts have large screen televisions that often are running classic shorts or movies.

Baby Changing Centers

The Baby Changing Centers at each park have a TV in them w/ a DVD player. From what I can remember, just about every animated Disney movie on DVD is available for viewing while you are relaxing or feeding your little one.

Now I'm not sure who actually gets to choose which movie will be shown, but I know there are an awful lot to pick from.
