Trip Report Disneymoon 16th Aug till 7th Sep 2013

Hello and Welcome to our Disneymoon trip report, our pre trip report can be found somewhere on here lol.

If you don't have time to read the ptr, here is a little bit about us.

Our names are Dana and Jon, both 25 years old. We got married on Saturday 3rd August 2013, at home in the Uk. Here is a picture of us both on our wedding day. (the sun is out for once, we were being blinded by the sun)

Wedding%20pic.jpg

Since we couldn't get married in Disney, I had to have a Disney Dress :)

This is our second trip to Disney together and was an obvious choice for our Honeymoon as we both had such an amazing time in 2011. We waited 13 days to go to Disney to chill out from the wedding and have a build of excitement again.

We will try and update this every day so please watch this thread and let us know what you think. We hope you enjoy the journey with us.

As promised @figmentfan423 A tag so you didn't miss our report

Day 12
27th August 2013
Jon’s Birthday

We got up early today as we had breakfast booked at Ohana, while I was in the shower Dana decorated the room which really surprised me how she managed to sneak all of the stuff there without me knowing.

We went to Ohana and the breakfast was really good there.

Dana had another surpraise for me once we had finished the meal and they bought a cake out for me, I was shocked but only when I saw Dana's face I realised something was wrong. Dana had had a cake made for me from the Grand Floridian Bakery and this wasn’t the cake she ordered. After finding out a bit more it turns out that the bakery didn’t deliver the cake at all so the restaurant got one of their cakes to give to me, it was very nice of them to do this so I could still get a surprise birthday cake.

DSC04370.jpg

After the breakfast we stopped in on the car hire place to just sort out the details as I no longer had to pay the young drivers tax. We then headed back to the room and sorted out the cake, we arranged for the cake to be left in the room while we were out. We were told it would be during the day and definitely there by 5pm. We went off to SeaWorld and got there around 10am and checked in for our tour. We had a quick wander around before meeting up for our Behind the Scenes Tour. This tour had loads of info and was really good, we enjoyed seeing all the animals from a different perspective and learned loads about SeaWorld’s Conservation program.

DSC_3390.jpg

After this tour we walked on Wild Arctic, there was a One Ocean show on so there was only us and two other people on the ride with us. We then had a look around the animal areas, some people were doing the Beluga Interaction Program which we did on our last trip, I brought back memories because that tour was amazing. After this we wandered back towards the front of the park so I could get a new Shamu bowl and have a brownie sundae, this was good.

IMG_1430.jpg

We then wandered back to watch the next showing of One Ocean we love this show so enjoyed it a lot.

After this we watched Pets Ahoy which is cool and good as all of the animals are rescue animals. The cat nearly fell from the high wires and looked so scared but managed to do it. After the show we left SeaWorld and headed home. We waited around until 5.15 to see if our cake turned up which it didn’t, we then called the bakery again and they said it had been delivered elsewhere, luckily next we spoke to the head chef who said she would personally deliver the cake to our room later that night. With this settled we headed off to Magic Kingdom and got there by around 6.15. We got a few pictures before heading to Pinocchio’s for some dinner.

Photo0547FourBySix.jpg

We shared the Breadsticks and the Chicken nuggets, for dessert we had a yoghurt.

IMG_0036.jpg

IMG_0037.jpg

After this we headed over to Tomorrowland to meet Buzz and then we went to my birthday present.

Photo0555FourBySix.jpg

Dana had booked the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party. This was my kind of heaven, we had a table right at the front and there was loads of desserts which we liked. We tried almost everything but the best thing was the Crème Brule.

DSC_3691.jpg

IMG_1433.jpg

After watching the fireworks and show we chatted to some friends who we met up with there as they had booked the same night by coincidence. We were the last people in the dessert party before we left to just get a group shot before leaving the park and heading home. When we got home at 10.30, the cake was there, it was amazing and it looked so cool, it had a transfer of Stich on the side on chocolate which is why Dana wanted me to get it at Ohana.

We had that and then went to bed, very very full.

Day 13
28th August 2013

Today we headed to Epcot early so that we could look around before our tour at 8.30.

IMG_1436.jpg

We got a few shots of us jumping in front of Spaceship Earth with no one in the photo.

DSC_3760.jpg

DSC_3776.jpg

We met up for our Undiscovered Future World tour at around 8.25. This tour is really cool and it has loads of information you would never find out otherwise. We also got to go to loads of backstage places. From the front of the park you really don’t realise how close each of the show buildings are. I don’t want to give too much away about the tour but all I can say is you have to do it once.
After this we ended the tour in china so we wandered back to the Electric Umbrella to get some lunch. We shared some Chicken Nuggets with some grapes and a fruit cup for dessert. We then rode Spaceship earth before heading back to the room. The tour was around 4 hours of walking so it is quite a lot.
We headed to downtown Disney later and had a meal at Planet Hollywood. We shared a BBQ pulled pork sandwich and the Chicken Fajitas.

IMG_1439.jpg

IMG_1440.jpg

We decided to skip dessert so we could have another Ghirardelli. Dana had the Caramel Quakeshake while I found my favourite, they change the name to Sea cliff, it was basically a Cookie Bottom Sundae. These were really good this time which convinced us last time must have been a one off and Ghirardelli is amazing again. After this we drove back to Epcot

Photo0561FourBySix.jpg

We rode Test Track and MS Green (we had to try it to see the differences, we found it a bit boring when you’re used to the orange version).

Photo0562FourBySix.jpg

After this it was time for our preferred fireworks which we got because we did the tour during the day. I wasn’t allowed to take any pictures and Dana was right it was nice to just watch and enjoy it. We got some pictures on the way out which was cool before leaving at around 9.45.

Day 14
29th August 2013

Today we had a lie in as we were off to Wet n Wild and it didn’t open until 10 I think. We had breakfast from our hotel before driving to Wet n Wild. We like the rides here because there are loads of 2 people rides which we both like. We got there and rode Blast where we got wet followed by Flyer which we love and then the Surge which is cool as well. Then we headed over behind the wave pool so I could ride Bomb Bay. Dana doesn’t like the rides like this and I can’t blame her as I got off at the bottom all battered and bruised. We had a float around the Lazy river twice after that before going in the wave pool.

DSCF0309.jpg

We saw this which we thought was funny.

DSCF0322.jpg

After that we had one more ride on Blast before getting changed and leaving during this ride our new underwater camera decided that blast was too much for it and died, luckily the SD card was ok so we had all of our photos but no underwater camera. We decided to get lunch at Hooters as it was so good last time. We ordered the Chicken Strips the Cheese Sticks and some Chilli Cheese Fries. We ordered way too much but managed to finish most of it.

IMG_1444.jpg

We had been given some front of line passes for Universal from the friends we met up with the other night as they got stuck on a ride so we headed to Universal and used it for the Minion ride which was Amazing even the second time. We then waited in line for the Simpsons which was cool as always. We then headed over to IOA and waited in line for Harry Potter as there was only a 15 minute wait (we couldn’t believe it when we saw it but maybe the afternoon is the time to go on this ride? More research required I think). We then had one more ticket to use so we used it on Spiderman on the way out. We got a oatmeal and raisin cookie keep us going until dinner before waving goodbye to universal for this trip.

DSC04542.jpg

We chilled out at the hotel for a while before heading to Magic Kingdom at 18.23 we got some Fast passes for BTMR before checking in for our meal at Be Our Guest. We had been looking forward to this the whole trip and it didn’t disappoint. The decoration was brilliant and we had a good look around. I had the Pork and Dana had the Chicken

for dessert we shared the Chocolate cupcake and the Lemon Cupcake, these were amazing.

IMG_1452.jpg

Then as we were celebrating our honeymoon the waitress bought out the Grey Stuff which was really cool and nice as well.

IMG_1454.jpg

After our meal we headed to the preferred fireworks viewing with our voucher to see if they could fit us in as we missed the booked one because of the weather. They did, we sat on the floor again right against the railings and had a comfortable and great view. I had a second attempt at wishes pictures and managed to get a few good one's.

Still following along and enjoying the ride. Nice fireworks pics.
I love Hooters, but we don't go often as my wife says my eyes seem to bug out while there. It would suit me if they had old, fat, hairy guys to serve you. That way I could enjoy the wings and not get in trouble.

You are certainly packing it all in just like me when I go. I have lunch fast passes for Nov can't wait to try it. I was there when it opened last year and could have eaten there - now wish I did as its so popular. Thanks for sharing your experience and photos

Day 15
30th August 2013

Today we started at Downtown Disney to try and go on Characters in Flight. We failed again as it was closed due to high winds. We had a wander around all of Downtown Disney trying to find breakfast, no such luck so we settled with a snack at the sweet shop on the West Side, I got a oatmeal cookie (I love these if you haven’t guessed yet) and Dana had a Mickey shaped chocolate cake pop, she loved this too.

Once we were set we headed off to the Mall at Millennia to try and do some shopping. When we got there it was quiet which was good and I managed to get a few jumpers and Dana got a new coat. After we had finished looking around we headed back to Downtown Disney for some Lunch. We had a Earl of sandwich at around 2.30, I had the Cannonballs while Dana had the Hawaiian, for the dessert we shared a chocolate mousse and a jello. This was amazing as always, we love Earl of Sandwich.

We next headed back to the room to chill out before hitting Epcot for the evening. We rode Figment for a laugh and then bought a soft toy of figment. After this we rode Mission space Orange and figment loved it as well.

Once we had finished acting like 3 year olds we headed to the Le Cellier for our evening reservation. We got a picture on the way.

We were both looking forward to this after how good the food was at Cinderella’s. We were not disappointed, I had the Pepper Sirloin and Dana had the Pork Tenderloin.
