Thanks for the hotel executive place Imagineer Boy! I will get to work on those soon! Also, thanks A LOT for the lists...that will help a bunch.

As for the lake...how about Magic Vista Lake. If I'm not mistaken, Vista means "View" correct? If so, then Magic (refering to Magic Kingdom) Vista (View) Lake....so Magic Kingdom View Lake is its traslated form! What do you think? Or maybe Magic Vista Lagoon. Or just Magic View Lake or Magic View Lagoon...I really like Magic View..can't you tell? lol!

As for the Theme Park Resort itself...how bout Disney Mid-West, Disneyland San Antonio (if near by), Disneyland Houston, Disneyland Dallas, Disneyland Austin, etc. Disney Border-South, Disney's Southern Border. Just some ideas.

Wannabe Walt, I like Magic View Lagoon. It has enough of the classic Disney sound, but there is something new.

I've got the title for CDS. Let this spark your imaginations about the show: Escuridão.

Thanks... I have started on the hotels. Here is what I have so far:

Disney’s Movie Magic Resort......value
Lobby and Check-In Building –- Located at the southern side of Magic Vista
Lagoon. Façade looks like a giant movie reel and film-strip
Hand Animation -- Themeing is art supplies such as paint cans, paint brushes,
pencils, pens, paper, ink bottles, etc. Mickey Mouse and his friends show up as one of the main focal points of this area. The pool area has colored water shooting out of paint cans and giant paint brushes dripping colored water. The rooms include two queen sized beds, one TV and VCR/DVD player, cable television, two bathroom sinks, one bathtub/shower, one toilet, ironing board, safe, dining room and chairs, coffee maker, and microwave oven.

Live Action Films -- Themeing is giant video cameras, clap-boards (with various Disney Films information on each one), megaphones, film reels, microphones, etc. Each room is themed to a certain live action Disney film (Mary Poppins, Pirates of the Caribbean, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, etc. The pool area has Giant Microphones spraying mists of water out of the top part, huge megaphones gushing out waterfalls into the pool, and slides the look as though to be made from film. The rooms include one king sized bed, one twin sized bed, one TV and VCR/DVD player, cable television, two bathroom sinks, one bathtub/shower, one toilet, ironing board, safe, dining room and chairs, coffee maker, and microwave oven.
Computer Animation –- Themeing is computer towers, monitors, keyboards, mice, wire-models (like animators would make of each character on the computer), etc. Characters from Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, etc. would be the main focal point of this area. The pool area would have Nemo, Marlin, Dory and all of the aquarium fish in extra large proportions squirting water, blowing air (Bloat), and chatting on about very unimportant matters (Dory). It would also have a slide modeled after the Swirling Vortex of Terror on the EAC in Finding Nemo. The rooms include one queen sized bed, one bunk bed (two beds), one TV and VCR/DVD player, cable television, two bathroom sinks, one bathtub/shower, one toilet, ironing board, safe, dining room and chairs, coffee maker, and microwave oven.
Restaurants and Food Courts –-Located near the pool area. The Restaurant
serves moderately priced “American” style food (hamburgers, French fries, ice cream cones, hot dogs, etc. The Food Courts offer Pizza, Burgers, Deli Sandwiches, Ice Cream, Beverages, Pastries, and Seafood.

Disney’s Roman Palace Resort moderate
Lobby and Check-In -- Located at the Western side of Magic Vista
Lagoon. Located on the front-center of the giant, eight story, Classical style Palace.
Renaissance Level –- The second and third stories of the palace are themed to
Rome in the Renaissance period of History. Famous paintings and art works of Renaissance artists (Leonardo Da Vinci, etc.) can be found lining the hallways and in the guest rooms.
Classical Level –- The fourth and fifth stories of the palace are themed to Rome in the Classical period of History. Roman columns rise from floor to ceiling in many of the guest rooms (mostly suites on these levels). Remakes of statues like “David” stand in the hallways and guest rooms.
Ruins Level –- The sixth and seventh stories of the palace are themed to Modern day, historic Rome in its ruins and splendor. Broken statues, columns, etc. can be found lining the hallways and in the guest rooms.
Museum Level –- The eighth story of the palace contains a large museum of Roman artifacts, models of ancient Rome and its architecture, busts of Roman emperors and leaders, two movie theatres, and two “Traveling display” rooms. One of the movie theatres shows films about Roman History, the other shows films about the Roman gods and goddesses. Also, the back wall of this level is made almost entirely out of glass, so it gives a great view of the courtyard and gardens and best of all, the Magic Kingdom theme park.
Restaurants and Food Courts –- The restaurant at this resort is a moderately priced, Italian cuisine restaurant. The food courts sell Burgers, Beverages, Deli Sandwiches, Pizza, Ice Cream, and Pastries.

For the deluxe resort, I was thinking about a Turn-Of-The-Century style resort, much like WDW's Boardwalk Inn. It could be located either on the Boardwalk of DTD or near by it.
For the Home-Away-From-Home resort, I was thinking possibly a Norwiegian theme. Each "cabin" could be like a Norwiegian hut.

The moderate resorts sounds more like a deluxe resort. People will pay big bucks to stay in that hotel. I love the Norwegian idea, amazing.

Thanks for the compliment! I kindof wondered if the Roman Palace resort would seem a little deluxe or not. However, if I would go into DEEP detail, it would seem more like a moderate then. Just to let you know

I have some ideas for the ImageWorks that would make it more then just a shop.
I'm thinking of something like the old ImageWorks at Epcot with elements of the original JII. You would go along a path in the ImageWorks, connecting multiple exhibits including the Rainbow Tunnel, Dreamfinder's School of Drama, Stepping Tones and the music conducting thing, and some new stuff, including Light Canvas,a art making activity, and Dream Making, a art and craft type activity where you could make any random thing out of material in the Dreamport Storage Room. I'll probably have more ideas for it later and I'll post more of them later.

Cirque's second piece of the puzzle: Escuridão is Portuguese for "Darkness".

What does darkness, Disney, and Cirque du Soleil have in common? Find out later...

Could I be in charge of DisneyCity and DTD Plaza, except for Cirque du Soliel? Those sound like something I could really take a long way.

Cool! How about you work on the whole DTD? I really need help on getting all of the shops and resturaunt and especialy the night clubs for Pleasure Coast!

Spectro Man: sounds interesting!

Wannabe Walt: I LOVE your ideas! Just a few minor adjustments though. I don't want there to be too many resorts when the park first opens. More will be added throughout the years. So let's see...

At least a couple of value resorts, the hollywood one, and something else. Three or four moderates ( still to be descided ) and atlease two or three deluxes Disneyland Resort, Roman, Alpine Lodge. Sound good?

I have a few thoughts about the roman and hollywood. Just keep the whole roman resort a good overall roman theme instead of different roman time periods. If its going to be a delux, its going to have some nice sit down resturaunts ( maybe they could be set in the ruins theme ) and what will the pool be like?

I really like the Animation ideas. The pool idea is FANTASTIC! :sohappy: I can see it now, the main lobby could be made to look like a hollywood movie premier! The pool area could be themed to animation, and instead of different types of movie themed areas, how about each building could be themed to different movies! Perhaps made to look like sets from famouse movies. That would be cool! If this was done, perhaps it would be better off as a moderate resort.

That were my thoughts, exactly.

Here's the idea behind the CDS show.

When the Sun sets, Darkness falls on the Earth. During the Night, all our human dreams, beautiful and monsterous, come alive. A squeaky floor could be a fanciful fairy, creating some magic, or a horrific monster, slithering to scare.

With our imaginations on the run, Darkness can either be the world of our dreams or the world of our nightmares. But with the light of the moon, Luna, and the guidance of the North Star, Stern, our imaginations can create the most amazing, wonderous place.

But remember, anything can happen in the Darkness.

Escuridão.

Ooooohhhhhhh...... :sohappy:

Sir, I'm not entirly sure how much land. THe Disney Village Market place will be about as big as WDW's, the Pleasure Coast will be about 3/4 the size of Pleasure island with Disney City and the indoor hollywood going along side of it, the plaza will be about as big at WDW's hub, and the boardwalk will be about as long as WDW's boardwalk. Sound good?
Keep in mind that the MK is on the north side of the lagoon, DTD is on the west side of the lagoon and in walking distance of the MK.

The Deluxe Resort will be called Disney's Magic Vista Resort. Again, Magic refers to Magic Kingdom, and Vista is View. This hotel would have the best view of all the resorts of the Magic Kingdom Park. It would be placed on the Boardwalk section of DTD and would be themed to a Turn-Of-The-Century San Francisco Hotel. The home-away-from-home resort would be called Disney's Norwiegian Village. Each "cabin" would look like a Norwiegian hut. Viking theming is very promenent in this resort. There would also be a large building, Scandanavian Lodge located at the center of the resort area. It would have villas, apartments, and regular guest rooms. It would also house two restaurants. There are no food courts at this resort. Shops would be located at the Northern and Southern sides of the resort (Viking Traders and Northern Outpost)

Sounds good, but I'm not sure what you mean by WDW's hub. Also, could I name each of the areas after a different city, and theme the architecture like that city?

I don't get it. Why will it be called Disney's Magic Vista Resort with a turn of the century boardwalk theme but the only reason for its name is the view of the magic kingdom. How about this:

The Disneyland hotel can be named to The Disney Magic Resort ( which is the one I'll work on ) and the board walk hotel can be called the Board Walk Resort. The views of the rooms can look out over the board walk part of DTD.
I like the ideas for the HAFH. :sohappy:

SIR: WDW's hub in the Magic Kingdom is the central hub of the MK. You know, where the walt and mickey staue is, the place where you choose which land to go to first. I'm not so sure about naming each area after a city. Its just basicly Disney's own down town city, you know? Sure, the hollywood area will look like hollywood though.

BTW, I'm going to be gone all next week on vacation in Michigan. See you later!

I was very tired when I wrote those ideas...My Imagination was not working at but about 20%. So, I am renaming the Magic Vista Resort to Disney's Waterfront Inn. And I am kindof weary about the San Francisco theme. How about one of these:
a. San Francisco Waterfront
b. Boston Harbor
c. French waterfront (Mediterranian Sea)
d. Morroccan waterfront (Mediterranian again)

That's one of the times I get most creative. I'm exhausted, but here are the main characters for Escuridao:

Sonora- a corruption of the Italian word for dreamer. She is a young girl lying in her bed in her pajamas until her imagination takes charge, and she is pushed into a world she does not know or understand. It is her dream that we are seeing.

Luna- she gives light to Sonora's dream. She has the grace and beauty of an older woman, but she also has the wit and vivaciousness of a young girl. This character will be played by a singer in her late 30s or 40s. She is dressed in a beautiful white gown, holding the moon behind her head (think halo in religious paintings but a few times bigger). As she floats through the air, she sings of the beauty of the earth and all its creations, but Luna also has a dark side. As the night passes on, the earth begins to block her from the sun. We soon see her as a half moon, then a cresent. (As the moon gets smaller, her dress gets darker.) Then at the moment of climax, when Sonora needs her the most, she becomes dark.

Stern- a German word meaning star. Like travelers of old, Sonora uses the North Star. He is her guide through her imaginary world. Always carrying a lantern, Stern takes the appearance of a young man (in his 20s). Just like light, he is bright and full of energy sometimes making for a commical scene. But, he is there for one reason: to guide Sonora's imagination on the right path (think, official conscience). When Sonora leaves him, he is determined to protect her, and he saves her at the moment of crisis.

Well, what do you think? See, my imagination isn't that bad in dilirium, but my spelling is. I can't count how many times I had to go back and re-type a word, but you can see that I gave up on a few.

OK, here is the Downtown Disney Marketplace! The shopping, dining, and entertainment, axcept for one restaurant, the amphitheater, and the marina, will all be on one side of the complex, allowing for views of Magic Vista Lagoon. The unifying architectural style here is Spanish Mission Casita, like Coronado Springs, which is often associated with Texas.

Casitas Oysterhouse (lagoonside)
Earl of Sandwich
McDonald's
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop
Rainforest Cafe
Wolfgang Puck's Azule Express Marketplace
Tejas Steakhouse
