Hey everyone! I am so unbelievably sorry for not being here for Lord knows how long, but the other forum I am in (an Olympic bids forum) is having an Olympic bid fantasy contest, and I was a part of that, so the contest, along with moving and starting high school, has sucked up a HUGE amount of my time. I'll be here definitely until October 2nd, longer if LA doesn't make the shortlist. Anyway, after waiting for more than a month and a half, here it is, DISNEY BOARDWALK!!!!!!

Disney Boardwalk

This area of Downtown Disney will be themed to the world famous boardwalks in Ocean City, Maryland an Atlantic City, New Jersey, with a little Coney Island thrown in, and obviously be similar to the Boardwalk Resort.

DINING
Tillyou's
Bob's Brewery Bar and Grill
Boardwalk Bakehouse
Sweetooth Emporium
LeMer

Wow! Sounds really great! :sohappy:

Since October is starting, I think its time to see what Halloween Decorations will go up around the park. Jackolanterns flank the train station. The flower Mickey Face at the front becomes a flower Mickey Jackolantern. All the curtains behind the windows on main street turn orange and black. The Emporium's windows have halloween displays in them. Cornstalks and pumkins flank the doors to each shop and resturaunt.

All the banners around the castle turn orange and black with pumkin crests on them. Even the trash cans get into the act. Mickey Jackolanterns and ghost statues are all around. A new stage show at the castle stage called "Mickey's Costume Party" where Mickey and the gang throw a costume party. But spooky things start happening, but oh, its just some playful spooks. But, spooky stuff start happening again! Oh no! The Disney Villains have decided to crash the party!

Adventureland gets some superstitiouse makeovers as haunted tiki spirits, skeletons, and giant spiders appear on some of the buildings. The Jungle cruise gets into the act with a minor rehab in "The Haunted Jungle Cruise." The story is that Jungle cruise is trying to keep its normal operations, but there has been rumor of a ghost boat cruising the rivers. The skippers are a bit more jumpy than usual with strange sounds in the forest and an encounter in the abandoned temple.

Frontierland gets into the act with a Ghost Town look. Fog is over the Rivers of America and the buildings get corn stalks pumpkins and halloween banners.

St. Louis Landing gets Gypsies and ghosts galor. The Haunted Mansion turns into "The Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare" with Jack Skellington and friends. This will be similar to the DL one with a few more surprises.

Fantaseyland gets some orange and black banners and spiderwebs. A few ghost knights ( cartoonish ones ) in poses of how they died are in the castle tunnel with a few cob webs. A few of these ghosts take rides on the carousel. Dumbo turns into "Dumbo's Orange Elephant Nightmare. Based off the Pink Elephant scenes in the movie where Dumbo gets Drunk. The Elephants will be painted orange with Orange Elephants ( made to look like the pink elephants from the movie, except orange ) flank the ride. Casey Jr. is made into "Casy Junior's Ghost ride" where scenes of Playful spooks are seen from the train.

Toon Town gets cartoon-like pumpkins and orange and black decorations. Mickey Minnie, Donald, and Chip and Dale put decorations out with Scare crow versions of them with Jackolantern versions of themselves as well. Goofy however, has created a new holiday at his house which has a giant neon sign out front blinking "Happy Halloweaster!" Egolanters are around his house and cross holiday decorations.

Tomorrowland has some loony alien statues around the land with some Robot Jackolanterns.

Whew! That's alot of decorations to put up.

Imagineer Boy, I love your Halloween ideas! Anyway, Los Angeles made the shortlist :sohappy: :sohappy: but some trolls are delaying the contest, so I'm still here! Anyway, here are the two theme restaurants in DisneyCity.

ITALIAN RESTAURANT

For those of you who haven't guessed, this restaurant is based off of the Billy Joel song "Scenes From an Italian Restaurant". There will be two dining rooms, the family-oriented Sicily Dining Room downstairs, and the smaller, formal Florence Dining Room upstairs. Every table in the latter room will come with the two house wines of the day, one white, and one red. In addition, every table will overlook the bustling atmosphere of DisneyCity one level below. The Sicily Dining Room will have a loud, happy, Italian family atmoshpere, with singing waiters and crowd involvement amongst other things. As a final special touch, every person working at the reservations desk will be named either Brenda or Eddie.

TWO CITIES PIZZERIA

This eatery will be based off a long standing rivalry between America's two greatest pizza cities: Chicago and New York City. Upon entering the restaurant, guest will be able to chose if they want to be in Chicago or New York City, which will affect not only their seating location, but also their entire menu. The two seating sections will be seperated by the open kitchen, known affectionately as "The Pit", as it will be located a few steps down from the seating sections. Every hour, waiters from each section, originally from their respective cities, will engage in a battle of words, involving guests, of course, about who's city has the best pizza. This culminates in a random diner being picked to do a taste test, and which the city to whom the preffered pizza belongs wins, and that city has bragging rights for the next hour.

How do you guys like it?

Okay! I'm bringing this thread back from the dead again, because I'm not as busy as I used to be. I've drawn a great picture of the castle which I will post soon, and I'm going to start off with the Christmas decorations! :sohappy:

Main Street is covered with garlands, ribbons, and wreats on every door. Christmas displays and special shopping in every store. A gigantic christmas tree is in the middle of Town Square with many lights and beautiful ornaments. Presents from one Disney character to another are under it. A cookie making station is out side of the fire station and all of the bands, and singers sing christmas tunes. Light arches like at Epcot during the holidays line down main street, except its from roof top to roof top so the support beams don't get into any of the guest's ways. A special lighting ceremony every evening makes main street into a colorful light fantasey. The Walt Disney theater continues to show the broad way style production of "Sleeping Beauty" but a new show for the holidays also plays ( using special stage and set techniques to fit in ) called "The Disney Noel."

The hub has ornament making stations where kids can create their own ornaments and they will be hung from many different christmas trees around the hub area. Beauty and the Beast castle gets many decorations of its own. Santa Clause himself meets and greets children here as well.

In Adventureland, a special tree decorated with tribal masks, aligator fangs, and many other cultural decorations are on display.

Frontierland gets many garlands, wreths, ect.

St. Louis Landing gets thousands of many colorful ornaments, angels, ect. A a few nativity scenes. The Haunted Mansion continues with its Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay.

Fantaseyland gets many fantasey lights and decorations. The walkway between Toon Town to Fantaseyland which is made to look like Belle's village, dresses up with snow and special treats. Belle and the villagers get together to sing and dance to christmas carols. Its a small world get's a small world holiday overlay like in DL. A few stages are set up in front of it where "Holidays Around the World" is performed. Song and Dance demonstrates many different culutres of Christmas. The Fantaseyland stage gets a Character show on ice where Mickey and friends celebrate christmas at their cabin out in the snow filled woods.

Toon Town dresses up with zany decorations and snow. Snow mice/ ducks are in the front yards of each character's home. Goofy has once again mixed up his holidays with a giant neon sign that says "Merry Fouth of December!"

Tomorrowland gets many futuristic decorations with mechanical christmas trees.

"The Christmas Wonderland Parade" marches merrily down main street and the Holiday Enchantment Firworks show brings out the magic.
The candle light precession takes place weekly at the Castle Four court stage ( where Fantasmic takes place ) weekly with special light diplays, pyro technics, and special guest hosts.

That's it! Tell me what you think. :sohappy:

Sounds AWESOME! I can imagine Belle's Village very clearly! It could me almost identical to the movie version, then it would have realistic looking (not cartoony) snow capping the rooftops and gables (much like a stereo-typical alpine village)

Okay guys, I've got my castle design complete with color on the photo albums. Its way too long a link to post! Just go to the photo albums, and its on the main page. :) Sorry it may not be the best of quality, but my scanners broken, and I'm forced to take pics of the drawings with my digital camera and post in on the forums. What do you think?

Hey guys, I'm trying to think about where the candle light procession should take place. I know DL has it in Main Street's town square, WDW has it at Epcot, so where should it take place here? I was thinking it could take place where Fantasmic is presented ( the Fantasmic show could be reduced to week day nights with a few christmas elements thrown in ). Imagine the usage of it. Candles can be sent out floating on the moat, and other things. Or it could be at the Main Street or Fantaseyland theater. But that would have to put some of the current shows there on hiatus. Any thoughts?

Main Street Square (in front of the castle...) will definatly have the HUGE Christmas Tree. I think we should decorate the castle too...wreathes, garland, stuff like that. I dont think lights should be added to the Castle for Christmas though...try to keep it somewhat realistic lol. Christmas trees could be inside the castle windows, too!

As for the candle light procession...hm...make it park wide! lol. kidding... What exactly is it? I've heard of it, but I've never looked in to it.

The Candle Light procession is a special holiday event. Chiors, performers, and tons of candles tell the story the birth of Christ on Christmas day. Special guest speakers like James Earl Jones and Gary Senise host.
