Disneyland Mid America

Sorry!

I've been working with my church's Bible School for the past two weeks, and one creative venture is enough for me.

About the Beach Party...

Maybe it would be better during the day. It is a wet show, and I could see it being a great idea during the extremely hot summer days.

About the restraunt...

It's up to you if you like the Alien Chef or Club Orion idea. Actually, I was thinking of the design just like for the restraunt, but in futuristic design. It is up to you what you want the name to be called.

About the Tomorrowland stage show...

A group of traveling performers (of the extraterestrial sort) has decided to set up show in Tomorrowland. They have taken there unique talents and mixed them with human circus acts creating the first Alien Circus. More will come later if you guys like the idea.

Great to see you back Spectro!

That's exactly what time of day I was thinking for Donald's show. Perhaps around noon for exact times? It would really deal out lunch lines at resturaunts.

I personally think that the sit down resturaunt should be named after an alien chef and one of the other table service resturaunts to be called club orion because the name would make more sence of a table service resturaunt.

The Tomorrowland stage idea was pretty much the concept of Plectu's Intergalactic review using AAs and Carousel of Progress type stages. I think it would probably work better as a stage show like you suggested, although I want some sort of Animatronic show that's unique to the park. Any thoughts on this?

What if, we would mix the animatronic attraction with the stage show. Some of the characters could be real people, others could be animatronics, and still others could be large puppets.

That is one idea, but I do agree, we do need a special animatronic attraction. You're going to have me thinking all night.

Great! I don't think the stage show should have AAs because the shows are only temporary and the AAs would be a waste of $$. Puppets and costume characters are perfectly appropriate.

We do need to think of some sort of AA show that uses Carousel of Progress rotating stages with a ton of AAs in it like the Tiki room and Country Bears. I'll think about that one, but now I will be going into more info on all of the rides. Stay tuned!

I was thinking about St. Louis Landing...

Since the setting is around the turn of the century, why don't we set up at least one building from the 1902 World's Fair. Some of the buildings there were the most beautiful buildings I have every seen, but they were almost all destroyed.

If you don't know about the fair, it was a celebration of the Louisiana Purchase. Many of our famous foods come from this fair- Iced Tea, Hot Dogs, and something to do with Ice Cream.

The Louis & Clark Show could be incorporated with a whole history of the Louisiana Territory.

If the Landing is between Frontierland and Fantasyland, it would be perfect building style. We could build up from Frontierland, and the palace-like structures could fit in for an entrance from Main Street.

Just a thought; take it as you will.

OOOO!!!! SOUNDS AWESOME! I love your St. Louis Landing idea SpectroMan! And the ice-cream thing was Sugar-Cones...they ran out of regular cones so they rolled waffles into cones and used those!

I agree, great ideas Spectro Man! ( BTW, the World's Fair took place in 1904, not 1902. Just to point that out  ) The world's fair area could be sort of like a Plaza that will make a perfect land transition from Fantaseyland to St. Louis Landing. I'm gonna go back to the drawing board a make a few adjustements with the shops and resuratunts to add to the World's Fair plaza.

Will there be a reconstructed arch in this area? If you didn't plan on it, I think that there should be. I'm also guessing that this will be along the Rivers of America or whatevery we will call it. It would be kindof fitting to have one side border it and the arch right next to the river!

No arch. I want it to be the St. Louis River front and surrounding areas of the late 1800s and early 1900s and the arch was built in the sixties.

Sorry about jumping into this late and not reading it all the way. But seeing that you are both from MO, and that a lot of members on here are from IL....why not have the park here in IL or MO? I mean come on, we've got lots of space, both parks in the US are already in the southern part so to speak of the US. You said it's called Disneyland Mid-America...so when I saw that, I automatically thought it was somewhere here in the midwest since we are Mid-America. Also, if you need help with designs of buildings or anything else, I'd love to put my art skills to work and help create this new land come to life. Feel free to email me (SAC5286@aol.com), PM, or IM me. I'm on here a lot and would love to help with ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!

But would a St. Louis Landing fit in a theme park in that country? It's like building a California theme park in California.

The ideas for St. Louis Landing are coming out great!

The St. Louis ideas are definately comming out good! Technically this theme park will be located in the Texas area so it can stay open year-round. I couldn't really think of a good name for the theme park because it can't just be "Disneyland" and I don't like the sound of the name "Disneyland Texas" so I came up with Disneyland Mid America.

ScottieBoy, you are more than welcome to help. If you have any ideas, suggestions, comments, ect. please post!

I've always dreamed of a Disney theme park resort in Missouri or Illinois. The good thing there would be open about 3/4 of the year and they would have the other 1/4 of the year for rehabs, construction, etc.

St. Louis Landing would work in Missouri or Illinois. I see the point you are trying to make, but Six Flags STL has a Worlds Fair area (poorly done, but still there) and it fits in. The Worlds Fair at SF is much like MK's Main Street USA. I think that the people would kindof like the St. Louis themed area...it represents our history and culture. Just my thoughts!

I definately agree and I also have always dreamed of a Disney resort close by, but it sadly would not work. Disney theme parks MUST stay open year-round to make good profits. Also, the location must be good too so it can mostly have good weather to attract tourists. That is why I have chosen the Texas state to put the park in. Oh well, atleast its closer to us than WDW is! :sohappy:

Anyways, I tried to start on detailed descritions of Attractions starting out with the Train, but the stupid computer exited out of the internet before I could even post it, and I'm not in the mood to type it all over again, so maybe tomorrow.

As far as staying open year round, I know Walt had talked about putting a large all-weather bubble around the business/center part of his EPCOT. You know, the one that was never built. If he could dream about it then, then I'm sure there's a way to do that around it and have it open year round. Now we wouldn't have to worry about the weather and we can go 365 days a year. Let me know what you think about that, I think IL/MO would be the best place for a new park.

Ya know, my Dad suggested Louisiana or southern Arkensas which would make good locations too. it would be way too expensive to make the whole theme park indoors with all of the other stuff I have in plan.
