Really? I thought he was the harbinger of Disney Doom who has ascended from the fiery depths of the hell that is the Walt Disney Company to poison our minds against the undisputed genius that is Robert A. Iger and his minions. It's not like WDW1974 has anything worthwhile or significant to contribute, nor does he start interesting and thought-provoking threads such as this one that encourage discussion and debate amongst the WDW fan community.

It's succeeded, at least for me anyway. I am probably one of those who has been slow to notice the decline; I usually only get to visit once a year but visiting this forum and seeing what other WDW fans have said has opened my eyes a little wider and I have begun to notice the things that that have slipped in standards over the years. I still love WDW and our annual visit is the highlight fortnight of my year but things certainly aren't what they used to be and that needs to change (in some cases, quickly and drastically). Hopefully the changes you've addressed in creating this thread will come to pass and the experience of visiting and being a fan of WDW will improve for us all.

I was not attacking you and if I gave that impression I apologise. The point of my post was that WDW1974 started this thread for us to participate in a discussion related specifically to WDW and it has gone off topic. I'm not laying all of the blame for that at your door and I have no desire to involve myself in any issues you might have with this particular-thread's originator or others, I was simply putting my point across that I saw no need to criticise him in this thread when his intention in starting this was to encourage on-topic debate. In my defence, the thread went off-topic long before my little indiscretion there and I will keep on-topic from now on (hopefully everyone else will as well). But my intent was not at all to attack you so I'm sorry if you felt that way.

Anyway, I have my own strong opinions on the future of WDW that are sincere. Unfortunately they differ from the OP profoundly. When I express this difference of opinion I am attacked by his followers. That is fine, I find it humorous and challanging. But in the interest of world peace I will quit this thread. Then the folks who can't stand to hear a difference of opinion can sleep at night.

just make sure you agree with everything the OP says. And he will say it over and over and over again. So if that is your cup of tea you are in the right place.
