Yep, These were both there last month and I have no idea when they arrived. While I have no issue with the taco truck, I do wonder exactly how much more Disney crap they expect to sell by having this out there. I looked at the stuff they were selling and it was typical generic WDW crap.

Well stated. I wonder where they are trying to go with this?

Took pictures of these today - I knew about the food trucks, but a merchandise truck?

Merch Truck has been around much of 2013; not always at DTD, was at the Celebration Pie Festival, for example. A Limited Time Magic event earlier this year was the sale of T-shirts with a picture of this truck on it, from the truck itself (in other words, a nostalgic T-shirt for a mobile vendor that had been around all of 3 or 4 months). Except it wasn't very "limited" in that you could still buy the shirt weeks afterward--maybe still can, either from the truck or at Property Control with your 10-pound bag of rice and day-old bread.

I really wish I was making this up.

Neither of them were open in the three hours we were there; like you, I don't have much of an issue with the taco truck, but the merchandise truck - and were it was parked - seemed kind of random and awkward.

In other news, the Wii setup over by Once Upon a Toy, was pretty cool. My 11 year old daughter decided the Wii U was pretty fun. The 15 year old boy was not as impressed.

Interesting. This was our first trip down since late last year, so we hadn't seen the trucks. I kind of like where they are putting the food trucks - at least I assume there will be others where the Taco truck was.

The merch truck is used for more than just DTD. They take it out around Orlando promoting different things (while obviously hoping to sell merch!).

I only recall seeing a Lobster Roll truck and this taco truck, plus the shopping truck. Didn't someone post on here a couple months ago that Levy Restaurants owned the food trucks?

Levy's does own that truck that is why it is now placed outside of their other two restaurants (Fulton's/Portobello).

Aaah, the Fireworks Factory- pardon me for reminiscing for a moment, but oh how I loved that place. I was just blending up a pina colada over last weekend and decided to put it in my old Fireworks Factory glass for nostalgia's sake. (sigh)
Was one of my fav restaurants. And I think it was the adventurers club where the walls had faces that moved, the eyes and stuff. was funny. and comedy club. they really messed up pleasure island. we want stuff to do, not just more places to shop and spend money.
