Disney Springs construction begins

Just got back from DTD. My daughter loves the place and we always enjoy the experience (more about being together than the actual place), but its time for something new and different. Been there for the last 4 years and really nothing's changed. Splitsville is pretty nice, but merchandise is basically the same. Saw a food truck though. Bring on the Springs!

Was just reading the article on the Temporary bridge going up to bypass Pleasure Island. I'm just trying to get my bearings, so, where does the bridge start from and lead to?

It starts at Characters in Flight and ends at Paradiso 37 - basically either end of Pleasure Island. Photos at the link above.

Wouldn't have expected Hyperion Wharf to stop after seeing this picture either .... Not that I think this will happen with Disney Springs, but it's not done until it's done. :)

I'll have to remember to take the bus to DtD on my September trip. Parking was already a mess before lot closures!

What's going in the parking lot that has just closed? Is it the multistory parking I've heard about, or is it the Disney Springs expansion part (the stores etc)

I think the first multistory parking garage is going up just beyond House of Blues and Cirque. The closing of the H-Lot is for construction staging and bus parking, for now.

I thought that the first one to be built was the one in the current C, D lots. The H lot should be where the fountain and new bus terminals will be.

You could be right but I don't see how they could give up all those parking spaces without having a place for those cars to go. By building the first garage out where nobody parks their car anyway, they would then have the capacity to close other lots. WDWMagic should be able to clarify this.
