Have any of you ever been somewhere (shopping, etc.) and smelled something that reminds you of WDW? I was at Wal-mart and I could have sworn I smelled Pop Century...which of course made me sad...

i thought i was the only one!!
everytime i go to the movies, the popcorn smell reminds me of disney studios
the cinnabon shop near my train station reminds me of walking down main street in the magic kingdom
clorine reminds me of epcot, not really sure why, something to do with the fountain

yes! grapefruit for some reason reminds me of the store Basin in Downtown Disney, they have a grapefruit soap and tahitan vanilla that I loooove so whenever I smell grapefruit it reminds me of Disney lol..
and of course everytime i smell pineapple... yep! DOLE WHIP! lol

Not really a smell...
But i was in my boyfriends dorm the other day, and he put the fan on. Well, that first instant I felt it on my face, it reminded me of the cold winds that they have on POTC. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

also to me my old college had a "futuristic" look to me and it made me feel like I was in Communicore (Pre Innvoentions)

Ohhh plenty!!!! Couple months ago my 4 year was walking with her aunt and a public transporttion bus went by and my 4 year old said that the bus (the exaust, sad but true) smelt likea disney Bus....I was reminded once again by my sister in law how brainwashed my child is....Also we were at the bank the other day and once again my 4 year old said "mama it smells like mickey in here".. The bank teller thought that was quite comical...said that was a first for her!!! I'm still trying to figure that one out!!! Also certain mornings in the summer time The smell , both my hubby will call it a "Disney Morning" because of the humid feeling, reminds us of our September trips to Disney!!! Yes this is a subject I'm sure many of us could relate too!!!

This is so crazy, but it really is my Disney smell. On Thanksgiving Day my dad and I were deep frying a turkey. Once the peanut oil heated up I could've sworn I was in a Disney quick-service restaurant. LOL!:ROFLOL:

I was in the mall last week and while walking to the elevator I could have sworn I smelled the smell in the Poly lobby. I literally stopped and stood there sniffing:lol: Thank goodness the only other person there was my 2 month old DD.
Oh, heck yes, I know that feeling!
And when I feel cold blasts of air when I'm walking by a store or something, it reminds me of walking through the breezeway in Future World next to MouseGear. Whenever those sliding doors open and cool air flows out on a hot summer day... ya know? :lol:
One more! In the Nordstrom at my mall, the leather/chlorine smell downstairs (from the purses and shoes) really makes me think of the lobby of All-Star Sports. Weird, right? I guess because it's right off the pool... maybe?

I ALWAYS have these and alot of my friends who don't know what I am thinking about think im crazy lol. 1 is my cologne (sp?) because i used it at the hotel room at POFQ and when i use it at home it reminds me of POFR, the smell of the florida air at night..when you can comfortably wear a sweatshirt and not be to hot or cold. so many to name:sohappy:...I could go on for days
Yes! It's a great feeling (especially when you're dying of heat!)

You know how we joke about Disney should make a Rome burning scent candle, well someone did. At Old Navy my mom found a candle called Hearth, it smells exactly like it.

I brought home some of the new resort H20 soaps and when I use it, it reminds me of Philharmagic in the Be Our Guest scene, with the fruity desserts.
I also noticed that certain perfumes I wear will remind me of Disney. Last august on my trip, I wore Love Spell by Victoria's Secret and really haven't used it much since. I used some the other day and all of a sudden it was like I had been magically transported back to the Beach Club! I didn't want the mirage to stop! :lol:
Yesterday, I had some really amazing soft serve ice cream. I found myself trying to compare it to Dole Whip, and while this was good, it was certainly no Dole Whip!

Okay, this is going to sound really disgusting. Just yesterday, I was at a Wendy's and went to use the bathroom. As soon as I walked in, I thought "it smells like the MK tunnels in here!" Now, the tunnels get a bad rap of smelling like garbage (and deservedly so). However, this was a different tunnel smell, and while I wouldn't say it was temendously pleasant, it didn't want me to run out of there holding my nose. I finally tracked it down to a fake orange-scented air freshener hanging on the door. They must use the same type of air freshener in the tunnels, because it smelled just like certain parts of the utilidors, particularly the part just under the center of Fantasyland.

Air conditioning with a slightly musty smell always reminds me of the monorail. To me it isn't musty but the cool refreshing smell of a soothing monorail ride.....
Heres my goofy story for the day. I work in an Eco friendly office and all of the cleaning products smell like oranges. Right after a fresh cleaning it smells exactly like Soarin! So much so that I will occasionally spray some of the cleaning product on my desk just to be reminded of it. =)
