Have any of you ever been somewhere (shopping, etc.) and smelled something that reminds you of WDW? I was at Wal-mart and I could have sworn I smelled Pop Century...which of course made me sad...
Hmmmmm.....Walmart and Pop???
I was at Neimans the other day and smelled the Grand Floridian.

I have a fountain over by my work and it reminds me of the fountains in Epcot. The smell is right on. But only in the warm weather. I am sure the humidity adds to it.

Also i get the Monorail smell in the mall sometimes.

I buy a hair product that reminds me of the smell of the Confectionary on Main Street!! My husband looks at me with that, "she's lost it" look when I ask him to sniff it and humors me and agrees with me. I think it is a slight strawberry smell, but it smells like the cotton candy scent in the Confectionary, one of my favorite places to go in and take a big whiff!

Last night I opened a bix of jalapeno Cheez-its. It filled the kitchen up with the aroma that you get walking through Adverntureland by the Swiss Family Tree House...that pumped in jalapeno smell.

Warning: cynical CM vent here.

Also we were at the bank the other day and once again my 4 year old said "mama it smells like mickey in here"..

I'm sure it was the smell of the Judge's Tent:hurl::eek::cry::brick::hammer:

As soon as I walked in, I thought "it smells like the MK tunnels in here!" ........... finally tracked it down to a fake orange-scented air freshener hanging on the door.

I was just going to say: The one WDW smell that would make me run in the other direction is the smell of the tunnels walking from Main St to Frontierland/Adventureland.:hurl:

As for that fake orange scent that they sometimes use in hotel rooms; I spent 4 weeks in a Motel 6 near Dallas once and they used that in the rooms. I can not be in a room anymore that has that smell.

Best Disney smells are Main St, Rosa Regale in Italy, Disney Toiletries, Wilderness Lodge/Fort Wilderness, and the air on the lakes while in a boat.

I was in the bathroom in NYC's Gershwin Theater and I smelt something that reminded me of Mickey's Phil.

It turned out to be a air scent called tropical paradis

My dog got skunked a few months ago. Unfortunately, it did NOT remind me of JIYIwF. As it turns out, the scent you win in that ride smells far better then actual skunk spray.:(

You're actually disappointed, aren't you? I don't know of anyone else who would complain about fake/real skunk smell.

The air fresheners at our house are like the oranges at Soarin' (we buy them specifically because of that). Also, on cool nights in Florida (like 40's-50's), the smell of a burning Rome is in the air. Also, at my school, there's some construction going on, and I it smells like the greenhouses in Living with the Land. Yeah, I've been to Disney a few too many times. :ROFLOL:

Not really a smell...
But i was in my boyfriends dorm the other day, and he put the fan on. Well, that first instant I felt it on my face, it reminded me of the cold winds that they have on POTC. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

YES!!Love that...

Smoke ALWAYS reminds me of ROE.And the smell of a rent-a-car always makes me think of travel which is synonymous with Disney.:animwink:

I teach toddlers at a child care center, and I opened a Cotton Candy Gogurt for one of the children and said to my co-teacher "I'm on Main Street USA!" It smelled so much like MK that I just closed my eyes and pretended I was there.
Of course, then I had to change diapers, so that good smell mood ended pretty quickly:ROFLOL:

This morning when I was at church, it smelled like the Grand Floridian lobby! We usually do not go to this church, maybe once a month or so because it is about 20 minutes away, but the priest is a relative so we wanted to see him today...anyways I never smelled that on previous visits. I shared it with my family and they didn't comment...so I thought I would share it with everyone on here. This is actually the first time I have smelled the GF outside of WDW.

The early morning after the rain it smells just like FW every morning. I can't help but think of my childhood days waking up to that smell.

Well I am glad to hear that because around here, you just have to go on a country road to smell that, you don't have to make a trip to Orlando. :)

I wonder, with so many sponsors, why doesn't Disney get Johnson was to sponsor the "Oust! tunnels"?
