As someone who has had to re-train people before the issue at hand should not have been a big training session.

Generally the manager/supervisor would just tell the associate/cast member what to look for.
The time says this, the clock says that, I am sorry you will have to get another fastpass or get in stand by line.
Do not deviate from this rule.
Training session over.

On another note talking like a 2 year old does not get your point across better it makes you appear childish and immature.

But the OP stated that s/he was informed there would be an entire retraining of employees. Perhaps they should have clarified that before posting the fabrication?

On the talking like a two year old, sometimes one must talk down to the level of the person they are talking to in order for the person to be able comprehend.

On a side note, I am quite flattered how Montyboy and the OP stalk my profile and every post I make daily :ROFLOL:. It makes my heart go all aflutter :king:.

Awww  looks like widdle I Heart Tigger doesn't like to be questioned on their fabwications.

How did we go from "an entire retraining of CM's" to a reminder? Looks like this person doesn't even know how to keep their own stories straight. Go figure!!

I also enjoyed the convenient "delete" of the email in question.

Welcome to my ignore list also.

Since you are so obviously so above everyone else on these forums, perhaps you should just go start your own board.

Don't let the door hit you in the behind.

The point I was making was maybe the entire retraining is just how I wrote it. You dont have to have a class in order to retrain on somethind so trivial as this was all I was trying to say.

As for talking down to people maybe just be the bigger person and not be-little yourself dealing with what you believe to be immaturity.

I don't know if Monty and OP stalk your threads but there are alot of us who post in alot of the same threads as you and others.

I totally understand your point of the retraining, but the OP's email story did not state it as such, that was the point I was making.

I do understand the "better person" thing, but if you notice, the OP has followed me around many threads, commenting about me/to me when I have only quoted and responded to other people. I find it amusing actually, so it becomes a game to me. Who says you can't have a little fun with people like that? If they get upset, then truly, they should take a break from the internet.

As far as the stalking, it's not just the posts I post on. When I go to my profile, it will say how many visitors it has had and lists the last 10 or so. Well the number keeps rising, but two names always seem to remain on the list. I find it humorous, odd, and flattering all at the same time.

This is really funny. I received an email yesterday from Disney Guest relations too. I have posted it here for all to see:

"Dear Disney Guest,
You have been identified as a chronic Fast Pass Abuser or FPA. We have noticed that during the last twelve times to Disney World over the past five years you have shown up late for your Fast Pass window over 30% of the time. It has been determined that a significant amount (0.01%) of guests are abusing the system and are causing the Fast Pass lines to become longer by roughly 2.37 minutes per day (we have studied this using science), although at other times the Fast Pass lines are made shorter (by 2.36 minutes) as well, and this will not be tolerated. We are informing you that there will be a period of amnesty during the next month, during which you can identify yourself to the guest relations CM, which will then embroider the letters FPA on your shirt in order for all to see. We are also instituting the Fast Pass Patrol (FPP), a group of guests who agree to stand in line at each Fast Pass attraction and notify the CM if any Fast Pass abuse is occuring. The proper procedure for doing this is for the FPP guest to jump up and down, waving their arms, and start screaming "He's cheating! HE'S CHEATING!", if that doesn't get the CM's attention the FPP has been instructed to approach the FPA and say, "Awww, I'm telling!" after which the FPA will be escorted off property and you will be banned from Walt Disney World property.

Thank you for your help in correcting this most heinous act.

Sincerely,

T. Attle Tael, chief of the Disney Fast Pass Patrol"

So there you have it, Disney is definately cracking down on this, I for one am very concerned.

:ROFLOL:Excellent post! I am concerned as well.

I do have one question though, in that percentage listed, do they subtract the number of unused Fast Passes? If so, my percentage is way lower than yours. Is there are certain percentage that makes you an FPA? Is it like the BMI of Fast Pass abuse?

I believe if you have a percentage less than 30 then you are a FPP -- a Fast Pass Procrastinator.

I always have the same visitors listed on my list as well and my number keeps rising but do I think anyone is stalking me? Not likely just curious about me or about my posts.I think you may have a little X-Files complex thinking but hey I do not know you and I am not trying to step on your toes(if I did you would need a cast :ROFLOL:)

As far as feeling as if someone was harrassing you so you feel justified to stoop to their level that just would show they got exactly what they wanted. You play the game they want. You tend to attack people in a way that just comes off bad and maybe you should think with your head first before replying.

Obviously you are going to do what you want but thats just a view from a person on the outside.

Not to split hairs or anything, but do those same names that appear on your list have relatively low posts counts and a good portion of their posts are only dedicated to criticizing you? Or do their last 10-15 posts seem to discuss you or your posts (with bolding of your copied post and then calling other "online friends" to back you when they can't think of anything humorous to say themselves? That would certainly send up the red flag of "stalkerism" to anyone paying attention, lol. Call me cynical, but, red flags pop up when something like that happens.

I'm not sure about your X Files reference, as I have never seen the show. The closest I come to SciFi type shows is watching MST 3000 (dang the discontinuation of that show, it was simply one of the best), reruns of The Outer Limits, or reruns of TFTDS when I catch them.

And I don't feel "justified" by stooping to their level, but the least I could do is throw them the bone of attention they obviously seek from me; although I would seriously question if that is the only bone they have for me :ROFLOL:.

On a final note: are you aware of the term "hypocricy"? Laughing and "spitting your sprite" at the screen of an attempted insult to me by one is ok, but yet my humorous responses to those that deserve them are in bad taste? That in itself is precious.

Anyway, back on topic:

I am pretty sure I saw those gentlemen outside of Peter Pan on my last trip. It's a good thing I waited until they had scouted the area and moved on to BTMRR before I used my expired pass. No telling what terrible things might have happened.

Mental note: be on the lookout for the Toy Story soldiers packing heat in a couple weeks at DCA. I thought they looked forboding in their green skin makeup and camo. The way they just stop suddenly and pretend they are fake. It's PSA's like this that make me a more aware FPA!

I was there about 2 weeks ago. I had a fastpass for Thunder Mtn RR.. according the clock in the line it was time for ours to begin. I walk up and show the CM the pass. He told me I needed to wait 2 more minutes and looked at his watch stating it was not time yet. I backed up and looked at the "official" time at the line entrance and it's now a minute after. I stand and wait about 10 seconds and he lets a group with our fast pass time in. I walk up and give it to him and he goes, "Okay, it's time now, you can go in."

So essentially according to "his watch" we were 2 minutes early.. nothing more aggravating then that. I'm an honest person and wouldn't try to rush in, but if you're going to monitor the line, go by the clock that everyone is looking at. Instead, a group of 10 got to jump in front of us.

Folks this is getting a little silly now, this is what the third post that has started up and turned into a personal battle between a few members.

Whenever there is a system of advantage in a place as publicly visited at WDW there will be people who misuse the system.

Note the word Misuse not abuse.

We have never been told when we were outside our time that it was wrong and that we were wrong for it, or that we would be let of this time and had to make sure we were on time next time etc.

Guys the majority of people who come to WDW are first time guests, or infrequent guests at the least, they do not know where the nearest rest room is off the top of their head, they do not know how long rides run for, or the fastest way to get from Toon Town to Adventureland. These people will not know that the princess picture they are waiting for or Mickey Picture could take 45 minutes, then 20 minutes to get to to BTM, stopping off because little Sally-Ann has been in line for 45 minutes and really needs to use the restroom and Peter wants to have some fun on the Shooting Gallery.

Its a family vacation, its supposed to be fun, so inforcing what it to be honest a really small and minor rule, will just place unneeded stress and complaints onto Disney.

Do that family of 4 arriving late really affect your day that much. How about the family who had to leave before their window, never using their fastpass, or the family who change their mind and decide to go to AK instead, seeing as the MK is a little busy.

There are a million and one factors here other than the Evil Evans Family decide to collect fastpass tickets all day and use them all in the last hour, pulling faces at the standby line as they go past.

Come on guys, think of it from a first time guest perspective not from a local or frequent visitor.

I also think there should be a upper limit, i.e. no more than say 2-3 hours after your window, this gives enough time for people to accidently forget, or try and fit that one more ride in on their way, or get a meal, or feed the baby, or change the baby, or get some film for the camera, or get a picture with mickey maybe even just sit on this bench for 10 minutes. but it would also stop mass abuse, people who store them for later hours etc.

anyway sorry, ill step down from my soapbox now.:o

I probably shouldn't even chime in here since I haven't even visited WDW yet (17 more days), but I just can't take this bull anymore.

DisneyWales-I agree with everything you said in your post. Excellent!

What I've pretty much been getting from all of these threads and all of these posts about the FP, is roughly the same group of people replying about and bragging about how they outright abuse the FP system. And, what's more, these abusers think they have some God-given right to make fun of those that stand up and say something about the abuse! (See above stupid post about FPA and all the replies to it.) Yes, the percentage of abusers most likely is a small percent, but follow the rules, people! If you commit a homocide, are you going to say only a small percentage of people kill people, so just let me go? OK that example might be a little extreme. What if you get pulled over for DUI-are you going to tell the cop that only a small percentage do it, so it's OK? It's just ridiculous.

I hear and read all this stuff (mostly right here!) about how WDW is this magical place. That it's so magical and blah blah blah. Reading this crap has me thinking otherwise.

And someone else mentioned hypocricy. Hypocricy indeed!

Maybe WDW should just take the FP away. Eliminate it alltogether.

WDW magical? Not with some of you there.

I'm 17 days out and it's really starting to feel that there will be none of this magic. Maybe I just need to stop coming to this website.

Well the Sprite comment was because no matter who said it I laughed my ___ off. I am seeing that unlike you I can take a joke.I am sorry you see things in a negative manner and can't poke fun at yourself once in a while. Just relax a little bit this is a website for fun things Disney.Try to just enjoy and not always be negative.
The fact that you feel people stalk you is to me paranoia but if that is what you want to believe then more power to you.
I want to say that if I go to a comedy show and sit in the front row and get heckled by the comedian I am going to enjoy it because he doesn't know me from Adam and thats the same way I feel about the posts on here. You get heckled so what.If you don't like them "stalking" then put them on block and move on with your life.
Hopefully you will find peace.

em4ed03d2121.gif
These have to be some of the most flawed and pitiful analagies I have seen on this board. Again, you're correct, it is just ridiculous -- your analagies, that is. I'm sure the families of homicide and DUI victims would agree completely that returning late for a FP and being killed or injured by a drunk driver is equivalent.

I hear and read all this stuff (mostly right here!) about how WDW is this magical place. That it's so magical and blah blah blah. Reading this crap has me thinking otherwise.

If you don't feel that WDW is magical and haven't experienced it for yourself, then you really shouldn't go. Perhaps the problem isn't WDW but something deeper, I suggest introspection.

And someone else mentioned hypocricy. Hypocricy indeed!

Maybe WDW should just take the FP away. Eliminate it alltogether.

Not a bad idea, or make it an extra charge.

WDW magical? Not with some of you there.

Again, if you are the type of person that lets a theoretical inconvenience ruin your trip, then you shouldn't go to WDW as there are many percieved injustices that will occur (smokers, EMH abusers, pool hoppers) that will make you have have a horrible time with your attitude.

I'm 17 days out and it's really starting to feel that there will be none of this magic.

Hey, I'll be there during that time too, let me know what rides you're going on, so I can use my expired FPs at the same time.

Maybe I just need to stop coming to this website.

Again, great idea. It's unfortunate when you have to result to insults and calling people's posts "stupid", but it's good to know that there are FPPs like you out there.

Fast Pass Abuse

I've never used an expired fast pass...but one time I did feel we lost out on our FP window due to no fault of our own... we were held hostage inside the Brown Derby... We had the most horrible waiter who simply disappeared for over a half an hour!!! I think he was one of those waiters that did not like the free dining plan... even though we were using up two meal credits to eat there...

It was my first (an last) time eating there.... the food was fine but the service was worse than I could imagine is possible...especially for a "signature" dining experience. We missed out on our RnR FP because of him.
