As far as I can tell these aren't supposed to be like some social commentary or anything...their just slightly dark humorous looks at these characters...lighten up.

From what the photographer wrote, she seemed to think she was making some profound statements here. I agree that they work better as dark humor...but I don't think that was the intent.

Got another one

Cinderella at a gas station filling up her minivan

Photoshop the shoot so the minivan is pumpin orange.

Maybe even put a little stem on the roof.

 Good one!

I think at the end of the day, this is taken too far.
Princesses, along with Princes and Queens and Kings (although real) are mostly seen as people of Fantasy, especially by children.
Just let them enjoy it, have fun, read the fairytales and dress up as Cinderella without 'reality' raining on their parades.

So we had a very nasty thread about the whole weight issue a while ago. I'm waiting for someone to say something about Little Red. Or should anyone complain about the stereotyping of Jasmine - I'll bet I could find a group which might find that objectionable.

Yet no one seems to see that?

God bless the "Ignore" button.
Sheesh. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I'm not going to start freaking out about them.
"Art" is such a subjective thing, I'm sure these pictures can mean a lot to some people.

I think I said that about Jasimine in my original post here.

Jasmine is off fighting a war. Is that somthing that most women deal with? I know there are a lot that are in the military, and they are to be congratulated. But is it something that the majority of women deal with every day? I understand (sort of) the connection of Rapunzel loosing her hair with chemo, but what is the Jasmine connection here? Is it because Jasmine is middle eastern? Is this supposed to suggest middle eastern women are all terrorists?

As for LRR, I left that one alone on purpose

1) Becuase of the bruhaha it raised on the other thread
2) Because its not a Disney character.
3) Because someone has allready made similar comments on the original site.
