to be completely honest, the ride was going downhill since turner classics got ahold of it. but what can i say, I'm a millennial , but used to be one of my favorite rides and such , i used to dream about working on that specific ride, telling all the cool facts. and then turner had to come in and narrate everything. the first time i went on it after the "referb" i just sat and cried. but I'm looking forward to what they have inspired. Disney never disappoints!

Apparently, according to you, they really do! If it wasn't for Turner we would still be having to look at that BAH.

I was not a fan of the newly updated tracking with Osborne. Or him in the pre-show, either.

*UPDATE*
To get this thread back on topic...again... :p
TCM just announced this new travel service! They used to host "TCM cruises" on Disney Cruise ships, but held the final one last fall. I guess they planned this service to take its place?
Anyway, TCM is partnering with Adventures by Disney to do this--what does this say about breaking the sponsorship with Disney (if anything)??

It means that a new contract was signed and we don't know what the heck is in it. It may have nothing to do with the GMR, it may mean that GMR is going to close earlier than previously thought, or even later than previously thought (doubtful since August seems to be the new timeframe for closure).

It may slip a little but I still believe way before Christmas.

(Purposely vague)

While I fear for the park pre-Toy Story if Great Movie Ride goes down, they're really kidding themselves if they think the park will be able to handle Star Wars without SOMETHING open in the Chinese Theater. This deal is getting worse all the time...
I have altered the deal. Pray I don't alter it any further.

I think you might overestimating the amount of time for adding the Mickey Mouse ride where the Great Movie Ride is currently although I don't like the location of that upcoming ride at all.

It Disney starts gutting it in September of this year, they might have enough time to open the Mickey Ride when Star Wars Land opens. At this point, the DHS version of Star Wars Land is expected to open late 2019 since Disneyland's is supposed to be open before then.

I'll be in WDW 9/10-9/20...guess an afternoon to hit ST, ToT, RNRC, and maybe Midway Mania, plus a meal and I'll be done with the studios for the trip!

So you're saying it's cool for them to charge even more than they charged 5 years ago? When the park had a LOT more options for entertainment? To me, as a park hopper buyer, it does irritate me.

Well, you know, you don't really have to GO to WDW if you're that incensed.
