So you're saying it's cool for them to charge even more than they charged 5 years ago? When the park had a LOT more options for entertainment? To me, as a park hopper buyer, it does irritate me.
Scenario #1 - You are at WDW for a full week in July and you do not have Park Hopping. You would still only be paying $410 ($58.57 per day). You would not be paying the normal $119 a day for Epcot, DHS, and AK. ($124 for MK) Don't like it? Don't go to DHS and waste a ticket.
Scenario #2 - You are at WDW for a full week in July and you do have Park Hopping. You would still only be paying $485 ($69.29 per day). You would not be paying the normal $119 a day for Epcot, DHS, and AK. ($124 for MK) Don't like it? Don't park hop to DHS.
Scenario #3 - You are at WDW for a single day in July. You would be paying $119 for that DHS ticket. That appears to be too much for you so don't go to DHS.
You claim to be in scenario #2 so don't park hop to DHS.
Don't get me wrong. I agree that they shouldn't be charging a full $119 a day for a single day ticket to a park that is a shadow of its former self. However, Disney's tickets are designed to get people to spend more days in the parks. They want you to buy more tickets. The more you buy the more you save and the more money you spend IN the parks. Would it be nice if Disney lowered the DHS price while they are tearing it apart and rebuilding it? Yes, but they are not going to do that so why get upset? Just move on to one of the other parks. Look at it like this, you are paying the same price if you go to DHS or not so don't go and utilize that money spent somewhere else to make it more beneficial to you.
