I love this "Universal's so much better and guest centric" narrative. Their customer service sucks, and their team members couldn't care less about their jobs or the guests. Mind you HHN happens almost every night from September - October goes for $130+ a ticket, and you basically NEED to pay $150+ for an Express pass if you intend to do everything in one night.

EDIT:
And before I get the "well if you hate Universal so much, don't go" replies. I don't hate Universal, I had an annual pass for several years, and also bought the HHN Ultimate Pass last year and went over 30 times. I don't enjoy their customer service, their crowd management for events like HHN is very poor, lines for concessions and more are extremely long. Most of their simulator attractions are a snooze-fest for me, and just make me dizzy. I really only go to Universal for Butterbeer, Hagrids, Velocicoaster, Spider-Man, Escape from Gringotts, and the Hogwarts Express, and of course to play around with my interactive wand in Hogsmeade & Diagon Alley.

My biggest gripe is their team members, with Disney their are a few sour apples in the bunch of CMs, but with Universal their are only a few good apples in the bunch.
I think you’re putting two falsehoods together in an effort to “cancel them out” and act like Disney is on its 1980 quality level.

It isn’t.

I mean there’s MSEP lol, it’s not a “Christmas Parade”, yet it’s full of lights 🤷‍♂️ lol. Of course there was once a Christmas version soundtrack of MSEP at WDW back in 2000. That would not work now a days however since that was before the “Dreamlights ish” soundtrack was added. Now could WDW DO a Christmas version of MSEP now a days? Sure, will they ever? 🤷‍♂️
Could MSEP be going to DHS all along????? Wasn't the last rumor.....Don't expect MSEP as we know it..which we would expect it to be on MK'S Parade Route..........

If the “big gun” is rolling a 50 year old parade to another park with a $150 add on at 7 pm…
…that’s so “on brand” with saviour bob’s regime

I meant to start out with. MSEP would fall into the Regular Schedule after these Events I would hope!!

Sorry but IMO, MSEP would be better branding than Bell, BAM! with barely any Pyro.........

you are able to watch a nighttime spectacular with a day ticket, the park isn’t closed yet.
Correct DAH may close the Park a little early but doesn't cancel the Nighttime Spectaculars Day Guests pay for.

I love a good 10 minutes for a $180 ticket myself 😎

It the park closes at 7 when the crowd level indicates it should be 9,10, etc….it factually is an early close.

But you need that “created demand” to sell the thing, don’t you?

Not to give away Houdini’s tricks 🤹‍♀️
In 2021, Very Merriest closed at 8 pm but opened one hour earlier. Day guests lost an hour or two. That’s way different than the 6 pm closure on party nights was my point.

If you’re able to see a nighttime show, is a big delimiter for me.

Sure. Once Daylight Saving Time ends, they could close to day guests at 7 pm with Fantasmic (and force guests to exit backstage) with a DAH from 8 pm to 11 pm. That allows them to technically provide a “full” day to the day guests with a nighttime spectacular while still closing earlier than usual so they can offer a DAH a bit earlier. Definitely better than what MK does for day guests on party nights.

Remember when they used to open MK an hour early on party nights to be nicer to day guests? Now you get 9a-6p and keep your mouth shut or pull out the credit card.

No I remember when a 10 dollar wristband let me stay into the morning hours at magic kingdom….. 10 dollars….. for 3 hours…..

Y’all paying an entire day ticket price for a few hours…. Yall wild.

Maybe disney isn’t the problem the consumer is.

It’s 2 hours…. With the make up hour in the morning I agree 1 hour it isn’t a massive buzzkill.

I do however dislike the trend of pushing all operating hours lower over the years so that functionality you will need to buy two tickets to enjoy the same amount of park time that used to be included in a regular ticket.

Disney gets to keep staffing the same but cuts the day in “half” financially not legitimately time wise as the day ticket is still a larger percentage of our time.

Disneys operating costs of the park doesn’t fundamentally change. If anything it still drops due to many things being limited or closed for any particular event. But they get the double dip with the turnstiles.

I’m really lost and confused with this theory that seeing a significant nighttime show somehow magically completes a day. No pun intended. My enjoyment in the park for my duration of being in the park is how I consider a day a success. Not if I saw a show or not?

Because that is how Disney has closed out a day for years? You literally end your night with a bang. It's like a wedding day except the kids are there and the priest isn't.

But that logic if we do fireworks at noon everyone should be happy…. That’s my point.

A) they do have daytime firework bursts
B) fireworks look better in the dark. Obviously.
C) I said end your night with a bang. Psychologically, we remember how we end days more strongly than what we did at 11:12 am. You go to bed thinking about how the day ended.

You are purposely being obtuse.

Fireworks bursting over the castle at night is probably Disney’s most iconic image. They open every film with that.
