Any idea of who to call?
Ghost Busters.

Jk. Ticketing guest services (407) 934-7639.

They're different from Guest Relations, but they may have the same 'mandate' allowing for refunds as the Guest Relations teams in the parks. If a straight cash refund isn't an option, you could always ask for a refund to a Disney gift card, or even a swap for Very Merry or a regular park day.

Perhaps the better solution is just have the Nightmare sing along and Hollywood holidays shown during the regular hours..I'm sure we can all agree having something different to see than the Frozen sing a long and B&B live on stage for 2 months out of the year is a breather of fresh air for something else to see if many guests aren't able to see it during the ticketed event..
Everything must be behind a paywall.

The characters needed breaks because they were too cheap to a) pay for more performers b) sew up extra outfits like they do for practically every other offering or c) both
Unless they were so absolutely stupid to have only made one set of costumes, this is one of the easiest fixes they can put in place by the next event. Modify the staffing such that each of the three locations has back to back coverage of the respective pair of characters (Mickey & Minnie, Donald & Daisy, Goofy & Pluto), so people a) know who they’re in line for and b) don’t have to get in line a second time to meet the other character.

Also, open up the checkbook and have the Toy Story characters extended into the event. They already have holiday overlays, so just do anything they can at this point to draw people into other areas of the park.

So much of the rest of the event is beyond saving for this year, but these would be simple fixes and require just the bare minimum of effort.

Show quality.

For examples of what went wrong, here are notes from our team who attended last night:
  • There were only two locations to check-in for the party: the entrance and at Vacation Fun.
    • The line to check in at Vacation Fun was more than 30 minutes.
    • CMs eventually started telling guests in the back of the line that it was better if they walked back to the front of the park, exited, and re-entered.
  • Rise of the Resistance's VQ slots were gone in minutes. It was down most of the night.

  • MDE sent out hundreds of texts to guests who'd asked for tables, saying they'd be ready "in 10 minutes"
    • That was a technical error - tables were not actually available. Our team waited for 59 minutes for their table after receiving the "10 minutes" text.
    • Besides that, our team notes the Brown Derby was understaffed; the food portions were small; and the quality was not in line with the price or the wait.
  • The character greeting lines were chaos because of how the characters were grouped and rotated.
    • The character pairings were: Mickey & Minnie; Donald and Daisy; and Goofy and Pluto.
    • Because the lines were so long, you could've thought you were getting in line for Mickey & Minnie, but got Goofy & Pluto because M&M needed breaks.
    • So you lined up for some undetermined amount of time, for characters you were not sure to get. Disney should know that people expect to see the characters they line up for. This isn't something new or an obscure customer service principle.
  • The Tip Top Club "was a small, boring, dark space" with only 3 drinks". It should've been a highlight.

  • There was apparently no "Plan B" for what to do if it rained.

  • Our team said "we spent an enormous amount of time in lines for food, and an entire hour trying to figure out Brown Derby, plus wasted a ton more time waiting for the wrong characters that ended up getting rained out anyway."
Do you seem them making any operational changes? I saw the Phineas and Ferb line was very long-some said 2 hours. The character lineup is bad anyways. Then there’s the food lines.

Failing harder than the Star Wars Galactic Failcruiser. Do they have a plan to fix this for the remaining events?

Do you know if they'll allow people with tickets for future nights to request a refund?

My wife and I found Christmas party tickets cheaper through her work, so we called and got a refund. They hesitated until I asked for it on a Disney Gift Card. They don’t want to give you money back to your card. I will note that we told the girl we had family obligations come up the date we’d chosen, not that we found cheaper tickets.

I agree. You look at Disneyland’s events and they make WDW’s look horrific. They develop brand new characters for their parties.

How they don't have any Christmas theming to the land based on TOYS is really baffling and shows how out of touch.

Toy Story Mania should also have mini christmas games by now.

And on that bigger budget change note..

RnR- Audio should be changed to this or Wizards of Winter from Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Big budget change, Star Tours has an exclusive landing to Life Day.

But that is all so blue sky, they need to actually have a good temp event first.

Could someone summarize in bullet points all the things that went wrong with Jollywood? (aside from its existence...I dislike these after-hours ticketed events with a vengeance)

@TP2000 would get a kick out of this!
Funny you mention @TP2000 , I thought of him after viewing photos/videos of last night's party. Disney posted this as part of the party's description:

Many guests I saw were in shorts and t-shirts, which is fine, but I had the impression that Disney was going for a more sophisticated atmosphere, with guests (somewhat) dressing up a bit. Idk, maybe it's just me misunderstanding the 'vibe' for this event, lol. 🤷‍♀️

Eh, at WDW I think that's very optimistic. Devoted locals could and likely did dress up, but tourists are not packing finery (unless they somehow got a Victoria and Albert's reservation)
