That all may or may not be true. But your mistake was making it about money. Plenty of rich people are rich and entitled. Plenty of people without a lot of money know how to behave themselves.
I totally agree that rich people can be just as entitled but I was just thinking that when people are of the mindset already that everything is "too expensive" it raises their belligerence even more. Eventually people like that are gonna just give up on Disneyworld altogether.

Funny...they have that standing area in Fantasmic towards the back of the theater near the concessions where you're allowed to stand to watch the show. However 75% of the people there want to sit, then get annoyed at you when you stand to watch the show...in the STANDING area.

Just out of curiosity, who should be the target audience for Disney vacations? Over your posts, you have attacked 'hicks', 'athletes', and 'defense contractors', to name a few, as the 'bad' group. What group is worthy of Disney vacations?
Athletes?

The target audience should be the one you would attract if you provided an upscale, at least classic middle class Disney, experience that respects the client, respects the employee, and respects the local community and environment.
Nascar gun show or modern art museum, Vegas and Yellowstone, both pairs attract very different audiences. Every place decides on its own audience. And WDW has changed its target audience over the years. It knows who the people are who pay $40 for a mediocre meal and who the people are who pay $800 for a cotton candy hotel room.

I wish you are not allow to sit down during the fireworks. When we were there last, my daughter wanted to watch the fireworks close to the castle. When we got there, it was packed and almost everyone was sitting down. I refuse to sit on a dirty floor so I stood. When Wishes started a lady behind me told me to sit down. That ed me off so much so that I told her to off. She shut up after that. Funny thing is after about a minute everyone stood up. That's the last time I will ever watch the fireworks that close to the castle.

Unfortunate, the teenagers were leaving and offered them their space so why did she attack them? What an oddball. Hope she gets banned. I feel sorry for the victim and people around them who had to witness that and ruined the show. Though it isn't the worst case of fireworks/parade rage I've ever seen. When I was at Disneyland Paris in 2004 during the fireworks a guy put his little daughter on his shoulders and the couple behind asked him to put her back down and he refused so the guy behind pulled the girl off his shoulders and thew her to the ground. Sickening behaviour. If someone blocks your view, just move. It's not worth it.

Oh...I have a feeling there's another side to this story. Something doesn't add up..

Who cares though? You don't put your hands anywhere near another individual, unless maybe your life depended on it. This idiot woman is just a piece of trash who didn't get her way and felt the need to act like a bad azz and rightfully got knocked off her throne. You people need to get a grip.

Agreed she shouldn't have laid a hand on the girl but again...something doesn't add up is all I'm saying. The woman wasn't innocent at ALL.

I'm unclear as to how Disney has changed their target audience to "hicks" by offering new upscale experiences parkwide.

Couple things im wondering...
Should you have to sit? Is it ok to stand? Were the kids doing anything wrong to stand? Honestly everything is so fluid when I go to these shows (I go with the flow) and its only about every 5 years that I get to go so I don't remember

Were they being annoying screaming chanting doing cheerleader stunts? (I know we don't know yet, but weve all seen it and it said out of state)

This stuff happens all the time in the world, any concert, any sporting event, prob six flags universal all the time. Is it news because its Disney? You never hear drunk gets mad at Oakland raiders game and bashes eagles fans skull in with shoulder pad. I know Disney is held at a different level than anywhere else, but to me its a miracle this doesn't happen every week. Its a testament to Disney that this is such big news since its rare.
heat, kids who need naps, people who never exercise being on their feet all day, lines..... kind of combustible in todays culture.

You actually do hear about Raiders fans getting into fights at games, just a few years ago there were reports about stabbings in parking lots at baseball games.

So you want them to just say 'nah, we don't want your money, we're full!'?

In short Yes thats exactly what I want and is needed as well with the huge crowds all its going to take is a kid sneaking in a string of firecrackers or one of those leafblowers on wheels backfiring and the crowd is gonna panic and people will be killed in the ensuing stampede

Fact dense crowds are dangerous and that fact is demonstrated too frequently at soccer games where people are crushed under fan stampedes

Not necessarily. But I expect them to have enough offerings to occupy the ever growing hordes of people. If they still offered a night parade a bunch of those people near the hub might have been sitting on Main Street waiting for the next showing of MSEP (or a suitable replacement).
