News 'Disney Enchantment' coming to Magic Kingdom October 1 2021

So has the band-aid of Walt and historic images after almost a year of failure fixed Enchantment yet or are we still in the bring back HEA camp?

Both. It's now a serviceable 50th show that needs to glow away forever in a few months

Saw this in person tonight. Nice start, but then it's still enchantment. I see why they didn't make a big deal of it.

In person I expected it to hit the feels a bit more, but it's still no HEA.

You have a point here. What was the mindset when the new intro we made?? With or without the 50th Crest???? My gut tells me that Walt would look better without the 50th Crest. Might this Intro stay after the 50th Decor??? And what show follows it??????

The mindset is that they took a survey asking if they celebrated the 50th well enough. To their surprise (or maybe not), they received feedback that there was not enough emphasis on the history of WDW, Walt, nostalgia, etc. Now, the rest of us know that should have been obvious from the beginning. Better late than never. It's like "Welcome to the party, pal. Where have you been?" I think they intro will stay with this version of the fireworks through March of next year when the 50th celebration ends. What follows after? Who knows?

My only point today was the 50 kind of covers up Walt. It might look better without the Crest???

Finally sat down and watched the update. They certainly improved it by injecting a bit of nostalgia and the updated dialogue improves the pacing while clarifying the concept. So, it’s better and I can certainly tolerate it for 7 more months. But then it will still need to glow away forever.

I think you still are, but now it's only when you go to the Magic Kingdom. Or possibly all of Walt Disney World, Mickey wasn't clear on that point.

What's weird is Walt Disney wanted just Disney World. We all know Roy chose WDW to honor his Brother.
So by removing Walt from the title, wouldn't we be doing what Walt wanted????
